Your thighs really have nothing to do with climbing. Once you get stronger at it you will no longer have the "hooked foot" but to start out you kind of need that. I used to have my students get into position and then pull their butt away from the pole and then straighten their legs back up to a standing position and then back down and up again.

These are the 2 threads that get in depth about splits. The knee to the side is a jazz split and is probably the only one you are going to be able to do in heels. This is also a much easier split than a full front split.

This seems to rampant right now. Amy just wrote a blog about it and there have been a bunch of posts in the last month or so with poeple in the same spot. I am seeing it all over facebook too!
There is a lot of good infor in the following threads….one is what I wish I was told and the other is long term motivation. Hope you find them helpful.

Chat is usually only on Friday. I know there was bendy buddies for a while on Thursdays but not sure if that is still active.

I have dropped into classes in the Houston S Factor studio on a few occasions; two were specialty classes and one was a normal class that they allowed me to attend. It helps if you know their moves. When I started to pole S Factor was about the only thing out there so I learned through their videos and book. Their classes are usually 30-45 minutes of their floor work/stretches/conditioning and knowing the moves really helps. that is not to say if you don't know their names you will not get it, it just makes the flow easier. Their studios are also dimly lit and have no mirrors so at times it is difficult to see the instructor for cues during warmup. S is also very different than most studios as they concentrate more on flow and feeling good in your skin and just moving through space than they do tricks. I want to let you know that because some people still are not comfortable in their own skin and being sexy and may be uncomfortable in that type of setting.

Oooohh. One I got out of clean eating that sounds blech but is pretty tasty is vanilla protein, natty PB, coffee, banana, water/milk and ice.
I have blended just protein powder, coffee and ice before, too.

2 other things that will help….shoulder mounting from sitting on the floor (do not use the floor to push off with your butt) and going into a SM stalll and then into a SM. SM stall is basically just getting your feet off the floor in SM grip and holding it there; once you are stalled try getting into SM.

I have the XPert, which has the option of spin and static, 50mm chrome.
The Sport is static only.
Did the Showgirl replace the Kendra pole? The Kendra was 45mm, static only.

Where are you planning on setting this up and what kinds of things are you going to do on it?
I am a little hesitant with the LM as the top piece really is not that big when you use it as a portable pole. You will also need to know the ceiling height off the bat to install properly.
I am not sure about the PS extreme and what kinds of lengths you can get to make it adaptable for various ceiling heights.
XPole is probably the most versatile as there are a ton of different extensions you can buy to fit various ceiling heights.
All of them are not difficult to set up…the first time will take the longest. I would say 15 minutes max on all of them. If PS still has the sections that screw together you need to make sure you purchase and use antiseize so that you will be able to get the pieces apart each and every time.

Sorry, I just read your last statement about henna. What do you mean by coats the hair too much? Henna does not coat but rather stains the keratin in your hair. It really is no more messy than normal hair color if you do it right. My hair is down to my bra strap and yes it takes a good part of the afternoon to dye it but as I said, it last longer than any color I have used and my hair is no longer brittle and unhealthy.
-
I have been using henna on my hair for the last several years. My hair has never been healthier and the color STAYS (basically you cannot get it out). I know if you mix indigo in the with henna it will give you a dark brown color. They have a book of how to's and also a lot of pictures with mixes. It is not a quick process but I assure you the end result is gorgeous. I highly recommend the company that runs this site. They are local to me and she has the best quality henna you can buy.

My other favorite lately has been one that I got on the Anabolic Gourmet site which is his oatmeal cookie protein shake. I use a smidge of molasses instead of brown sugar and omit the nuts.

If I am feeling really bad I will make a strawberry cheesecake protein shake using strawberries, graham crackers, vanilla protein, milk/water and neufchatel cheese. I don't know the amounts.

Working on those puppies for almost a year trust me, I learned a LOT about them! Those 3 screws I have had issues with loosening so when you check your pole check those too. I will say though we were tearing ours down and putting them up 3-4 times a week.
Ahhhhh….is that the rattling you kept hearing, the screw from the cap? That makes sense!
-
The three screws on the cone itself will indeed lift your pole out of the cone. This is how you can change from using the XSL or the original. All you need to do is place it back in the hole and then tighten them back down.
-
You are having issues with that pole today, aren't you?
