Hiya Veena. I’ve had hip pain for 4 years, so I went for a scan and yes I was given my diagnosis and sent away! It’s a disc generation at L4/L5 with a broad based central protrusion. I asked if I could continue poling and he just said “why not”, so very vague. I’ve poled twice since my break since June and I got more discomfort and tingling in my back after, so maybe I need a longer break. I am waiting to see a physiotherapist, hoping they will be more help.

Good read. I have to now take it easy. Over doing exercise will no doubt end in disaster!

I think it’s really important to take a break. I have had to take a break now due to injuries. When I go bavk I won’t be over doing it and taking it easy from now on.

I’ve had couple of ‘friends’ who made snide comments or were funny with me when they found out i poled. Lets just say they aren’t friends anymore!!

Maybe your in a small space? I have that problem and abit restricted on spins as I sometimes whack my foot on the wall! So maybe that is at the back of your head whilst practicing.

My shoulder especially my left one is not very flexible and hurts when I’m in a Dove position or the pigeon pose, not sure if it’s all these years doing twisted grip lifts tho as my left shoulder bared all the weight!

Oh no, what do you think we could do to make it more grippy? My older one was not as bad as this!
