My pole journey started in 2013. I was at a cross road with life. Left university to work a full time casual job to pay for my living expenses. Of course, as most 20 somethings, I didn't know what I wanted in life. I was lost. I was inlove (still am). I still felt like something was missing from life. I needed a new hobby, something that will make it worth going to work for. I always had an issue with my weight, very self conscious. My partner always reminds me of how sexy I am, of course, I never used to believe it. Before I actually got my hands on a pole, I did my research. I YouTubed pole dancing videos and Googled online pole lessons. Studio Veena was the website I clicked on. That moment, I became a member. I remember not being able to stop talking about it to my partner. He was very supportive of my new found love and infact encouraged me to get a pole for home. The biggest thing that pole has done for me is help me feel comfortable in the skin that I'm in and opened my mind up a lot more.
