I almost got those white harbinger gloves yesterday- I tried one on in store.. but when I went to the car to proceed to drive home with them- I found the other didn’t fit! Absolutely nuts, since they both had a L tag.

…Anyways, Natalie! PLEASE DO try them out on the pole. GLOVETEST.

I’ll check the golf section next- I heard bike and lifting were best.. but we’ll see! This noname pair today is about the same as the last doodypair! I just want to be able to pole even after my blisters set in.

Holy hell! Your little pole babies are going to think that all pole instructors are as serious as you are!

On your scars! WELL. You’re that much more able to be an inspiration! It’s good hope for the girls who have felt like doody. Proof that you don’t have to go your entire life with those types of feelings! Mm!

    I dunno.

Pole grip is a mystic art.
Coke is so acidy-disolvey so it wouldn’t surprise me as a cleaning aid…

I think Joel was talking about maple syrup as a grip aid…so it fits

but… I don’t think I’d want to spend a long time covered in any sticky residue, not even store bought grippies!

    Nice!

I didn’t know your mats had come out, Alena! HARDCORE.
Five inches of gloriousness appeals to me. I think perhaps I could fall a great distance with little concern onto that!

    ….
Pink also appeals. and 200$ with shipping.

I thank jesus for capitalism to give me so many glorious choices.

I dunno, foxy-rei! the reason why felix’s leg hangs are so impressive is because she does them so much differently than anyone else. I mean, I may be able to do a gemini scorpio switch. But can I floppy ragdoll any hang and make my strangely alien curved limbs transform them into 3000 other tricks. I mean, she transitions from the weirdest stuff into the weirdest stuff.

Jenyne was better to me be because it was so JUICY THEATRICAL. Each separate move had serious impact. And I do think that slow flag, jade drop, and that neat reverse shoulder mount were just as extreme as dropping a strangely alien curved limb into a spatchcock.

BUT. I love how Felix moves around the pole, like her home planet puts their children on the pole from day one.

    ANYWAYS.
    HOT.
I liked the Felix encore better. Even though the music still sucked, it was at least pop suck and not bad rock suck.

    Woo! Happy 2-month!

I’m about to come up on my year in a couple months… I have just that long to learn a few moves so I can feel EXTRA super. But you’re right. Pole does give you the super on it’s own. and all the support we have here… it adds a good tasty extra spice!

We have a mini list somewhere with some great options.

I suggest lots from the downtempo genre.
    Pop-rock does wonders, too.

    I don’t want a video.
I do want a tip on something to build my strength-balance if I don’t have room for a caterpillar climb? I keep on catterpillaring downwards, and trying to isolate every little muscle group I can think of.. but I still can’t.

I ALSO have no clue if I’m a forearm grip or elbow grip. I don’t really want to fall on my head to make the discovery. They both feel stable in the caterpillar stage but neither are stable enough to do any letting go with.

I’m waiting for my schedule. It comes out saturday night. I’m going to read it, and then see if I’m going.
I wonder if Justpolinaround is having trouble filling them up too!

I’d at least sign up to learn some sexy floorwork! I feel like I’d be wasting her time in the other workshop, but who wouldn’t want some of that hotfloorwork.

    speaking of alethea.
what the hell does that tattoo across her abs say?
I thought it was ireland, my mom says that looks like it’s too long, and my husband stubbornly insists if it’s a tattoo across your abs it says thuglife.

    I dunno.
    Deb Riley supports them.

You’ve got three bonafied badasses on the pole so far. One is a super-supporter. Two may just be supporting it because they give money to WPD- BUT considering it’s stood up as a podium-less podium pole, while it may not be the best option for a home poler- it does give you a lot of venue options.. Obviously. The thing is seen in both sand and water, and in a gym.. with mysterious black background!

Anywayyys. I’m betting you’d only buy it because you’re doing supertours. and if you’re that famous someone is going to let you try it before you buy it. You’ll be fine.

    Hm-Hm!
    Thank you ladies!

Lilbit, I am SO waiting on this vid of yours. I read about it before and was like, "just what I need!".

Lola! I’m researching these powerballs! NEAT gadget. I’m going to read the website before I consider looking at the price, so it’ll likely be a purchase and not a balk! LOL

And charley, I think I’m doing the same thing you were doing. I come down and immediately give them a little rotate, so I’m going to try to improve upon the strength with planks before I murder myself. It’s probably also unfair for me to expect my teensie wrists to handle my big luscious self, so I’m going to consider that, too! I didn’t know I had to keep from turning them, so thank you SO MUCH for saving me from even more wrist pain!

My sister always says, "a bitch is only as fine as she thinks she is".
I think that’s the ghetto version of "confidence is beautiful", but it’s definitely more memorable for me.

…So. Miss Phoenix! You better quit with that disgusting bit! I dig that you’ve got a few years of self loathing to contend with, but when you start saying "205 lbs of delicious" you’ll start ticking away at it. Disgusting my ass! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cat.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cat.gif

As far as currents for me, I’m at 223 now- I guess that’s.. what, 13 lbs down? I’m using photos to compare now since my body seems to look better than it did 20 lbs ago.

    I’m eating REALLY WELL. Seriously.
SO WELL I’m impressed with myself.

Tonight was curry chicken- slow and low baked delicious with brown basmati rice and veggies sauteed in broth. That sounds a lot healthier than it tastes. Last night we had super garlicy turkey spaghetti with locally grown spinach. MM. If I were less of a cook .. this menu would seriously gross me out, but I SWEAR ON ALL THINGS HOLY IT WAS GOOD.

If anyone wants healthy muffin recipes, come to me. I’m the one. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif
