Hi im about to do one in april. we are colaborating with hairdressers, beauty therapists, Ann Summers and a few others who may be looking to promo their business into a ladies charity night. I am going to be demonstrating and teaching those who want to give pole fitness a go. So its a whole host of girlie things to try on the night whilst raising money for a good cause…plus free publicity. Might be an idea for you too? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

Yup best thing to do is chat with the dancers at the chosen club. see what they do, whats expected of you ect. As i said before going fully nude doesnt necessarly mean for a full 3 or 4 min song. If you stripped right off at the beginning it would get boring very quickly for the guy. Believe it or not some men are uncomfortable with dancers who get their bits out and right in the guys face. (so i have been told by a few male friends) especially if theyve been bought a dance by a friend or if its a bachelor party and they are under pressure to go along with it. I used to encounter many guys that were sometimes just as nervous and uncomfortable about the full thing as any newbie dancer. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_redface.gif

Hi i used to work in a few clubs in Scotland. I think our rules are slightly different than the U.S but as its stands just now i dont know of any club in scotland or many in the U.K that dont do fully nude lap dances. When i first started out many years ago (i was engaged at the time im now married) i worked in a topless only club. It soon closed down as every other club in my city were giving nude dances for the same price so they were losing business. As for pole dances its usually the norm to do them topless or in underwear, i havnt seen many pole dances that are fully nude…have you tryed poling nude it is SORE!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_surprised.gif In the u.k we dont get tips for pole dancing so all the money is made in lapdances so maybe thats why. The last time i worked in a club was about 2 years ago. I was very nervous with the whole nude thing but there are ways around it you can go nude with out putting yourself at risk. EVERY club SHOULD have a strict no touching rule. If a guy trys to touch you in anyway you should firmly tell him no and that the dance will stop if he does it again, if hes stupid enough to try it again end the dance and inform the clubs security to deal with him. A reputable club will not put up with this behaviour and will protect their dancers. If they dont, i wouldnt work there. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif For a fully nude dance i would go topless pretty quickly and do alot of full on lap tricks ie grinding, lap contact ect but id still have my g string on for this. When i was ready to take this off i would maintain a distance away from the guy tease it off slowly and concentrate on a lot of floor tricks. That way he gets to see you nude, gets a good show but your not making any physical contact at all. I always used to go nude near the end of the dance so that you are not "vunerable" for very long. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif There are some dancers that will push boundarys for more dances ie nude lady bits right in the guys face, gridding naked in their laps, letting guys touch them ect. I personaly would never do this. Your asking for trouble and are more likely to get a few stray fingers somewere you dont want them to go! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif
Anyways hope this has been helpful good luck with it! im sure you will be fine https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif -

ahhhhhh mostuirise no theres a thing i didnt think of!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif i usually try and stay away from it before poling because it makes the pole too slimy but doing it the morning before on cold dry skin will prob work! …now that i think about it,a few weeks back i fake tanned myself in the morning (love my fake tan i do …well in scotland we dont get much chance of a real sun tan lol) its a lotion so can be quite slippy. I jumped on my pole that nite and was actually quite sticky! Think ill try that in the morning then pole at nite see what happens. Does vodka work on the pole btw? i also heard coke works on it as well to make it sticky https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif mite be a bit too sticky though! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif

MemberJanuary 3, 2010 at 9:48 pm in reply to: How old were you when you discovered pole dance?I was 23 when I first discovered pole dance. Me and my friends went along to a strip club for a laugh and I was mesmerised by the amazing pole performances I saw. (To be honest it was prob not that amazing but to someone who had never seen a proper pole dance before it was!) A few months after that I found pole classes and was hooked……I’m now 28 and have been poling on and off for about 5years. I danced in a few clubs myself, stopped and did more lessons at other pole schools. I now teach myself. Its crazy to think how pole dancing has changed so much in those 5 years. When I started there was hardly any pole schools, and I didn’t dare tell anyone my little hobbie. Now its soooo popular and quickly becoming the most popular way to get fit and I love it!!

Hiya I’m from glasgow in scotland, welcome!,ur bar sounds like a lot of fun! We should have more bars like that in glasgow! Lol we’ve only got one or two but the poles arnt great (non strip clubs I mean). Keep at your poling and watch veenas lessons they are great! Sounds to me you are progressing quite well for some1 who hasn’t been to classes or anything so well done!! I like to dismount from inverted cruxifix either in a spin dismount (were you come down near the ground fold into one arm, push with the other hand and kinda spin round and down off the pole) if that makes sense? Lol, x

Nah mind seem pretty straight. Think i may just have really crap weak wrists and forearms. Was never able to do a catterpillar using the forearm grip either i could pull myself up but i couldnt hold it for long and it never felt secure. find an elbow grip works best for me….so yeh my forearms prob are a bit weak.

MemberDecember 4, 2009 at 5:01 pm in reply to: constant dull ache in my arms almost carpal tunnel feelinghey guys i see what your saying and it makes sense, but iv been poling for abt 3 or 4 years ( i was also a professional dancer in a club as well for a time) This pain has never went away for me,so iv kinda learned to live with it. Although im slow to learn moves id say im pretty advanced (although not as advanced as i want to or prob should be https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif ) Do you think its maybe because when i was learning as a beginner i didnt properly prepair my muscles hence the arm pain i still get to this day?? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gif

MemberDecember 3, 2009 at 2:52 pm in reply to: constant dull ache in my arms almost carpal tunnel feelingI get the EXACT same thing, dull achey throbbing deep into the bone after doing certain moves that put alot of strain on my forearms or wrists. No one else knew what i was talking about so thank god its not just me! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif I used to have quite weak wrists (or wrist muscles) they are very small and thin so it took me a while to master things like the carousel and boomerang were your wrist and arm are taking some of your weight and pushing your body away from the pole. Iv been doing this move for years and i still sometimes get the dull bone ache all the way from my wrist to my elbow hrs after poling. Same with the reverse pinwheel (or helterskelter as i call it) i let my left arm take my weight and grab behind me with the right…well the left forearm also gets the dull bone ache as well now. I dont know if this ever goes away i know im doing these moves 100 correct as iv been doing em for years and several instructors have clarified that. All i can think of is its the way im made. Before i started poling and even sometimes now i get the same ache when iv very cold bizarrely enough! (someone said this is called rhumatics??) It aches deep from my ankles to my knees and from my wrists to my elbows. Iv always had it ever since i was little and now i get the same ache with poleing..weird huh? I just take paracetamol and it goes away pretty easily. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

oh man i so wanna get the teddy i think it looks amazing! so far iv had no luck coz im not actually sure im doing it right. I take it you use your dominant arm that you invert with? (mine being my left) Get the pole into the armpit and side and kinda try and get your legs into a V shape and hold em? Looks reasonable enough when you see it on vids but when i try i cant even get near to holding the move! lol and i thought i had good armpit grip! think i need it broken down for me https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gif
