thanks charley, joni and e-vamp https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif
Charley i can do normal shouldermount (no kicking), air invert (no swinging) and shouldermount v and split just fine so im confident i have the ab strength for it (hopefully! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif ) My main problem was trying to picture in my head how to get into position for an air shouldermount, what move id have to do before hand ect, so you think figurehead would be the best bet then? Another question! whats the best way to get into the figurehead? dont think iv tried that either.
If anyone has an youtube vids or vids on here of them doing it it would really help me (im the kind of girl who needs to see a move over and over to try and work it out)
    thanks https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

Hi im a studio owner/teacher and i offer a choice. We do first hour of tricks, and last halfhour /20 mins of filler and flor work, linking in moves to create a routine. Everyone is different and not everone likesor is interested with the sensual side of it so they have the chioce to just carry on with their moves or they can join in on the filler work. I dont like to force girls into it or make them feel uncomfortable. There are other studios near by that make their students do the sensual sexy side of pole, weather they like it or not and there are other schools that dont believe in it at all and are purely trick based. I Like to think we offer a good mix of both https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif but yeh i think if you feel you HAVE to do sexy dancing in your class it can look forced, and make you feel worse about doing it https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif

Yeh I do use my scales a lot, and this is always how iv measured my weight, its always been reliable, if the scales said I put on 5 pounds, guaranteed my clothes would feel a bit tighter and id look a little bit heavier. But yeh its v hard to tell with muscle. Just taught my class there, one of my friends commented how slim I looked! Ironic considering I’m much heavier, but it must just be lean muscle….or I’m hoping anyways lol. Arrrgg gotta stop using my scales, its like an addiction I can’t help but look!

brilliant, iv just posted this link to my fb page…i still get stupid comments from my male friends on there, and certain aloofness from some females when i tell them i teach pole fitness for a living! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

OMG i dont know why someone hasnt thought about this before! excellent idea. Well im tall and very big boobed (34F…sometimes FF) and it is a pain to even get a half decent sports bra in my size never mind a pole bra https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif I managed to track down one (hot pink in colour) and its crap! no support at all!! So for the past year an a half (yes that long!!) i have been wearing only one bra when i pole! its not made for sports it just a fuller cupped bra that has faithfully done its job but is falling apart at the seams!! I NEED a pole bra!! wearing a normal bra to do any sports in is really bad but i dont have a choice! when i do a CAR the boobs fight to spill out, when i invert, when i shoulder mount, when i caterpillar!!! it really is a hinderance https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cry.gif I teach pole and work pretty much every night, thats a lot of poling and a lot of spillage! pleeease make a lovely bra that will cater for bigger cup sizes too, https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif
Some nice designs and colours would be great also!! I live in the UK do you think if you manage to make them you would be selling them overseas as well?
lol you can tell im desperate for one cant you? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

Yes i hear what your saying many litle girls play dress up and theres nothing wrong with it. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif What im saying is this woman has been in a few magazines in the uk previously a few years ago boasting that she encourages her (then 10 year old daughter) to plaster on the make up she also encourages her to get sunbeds every week, pays for her to have hair, eyelash and nail extensions, and wear clothing that was on the skimpy side plus was saving up for her daughter to have a boob job!! her dream job for her daughter was to be a glamour model .It caused a back lash from the public then i remember. Now it seems shes starting it with the 7 year old….tad worrying https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif

Yeh chemgoddess that does seem like a crazy price to pay! For me even 699.00 pounds is a tad out my price range, I can. Get quality pole stages from other companies for roughly 450.00.! Just wanted to see what all the fuss was about x

yup iv seen this before its pretty wild! its thought that pole dancing may have some origins from this discipline. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

  • It amazes me how nasty guys can be for no reason at all and it angers me! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_mad.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_mad.gif Unfortunatly it seems to happen to me on a regular basis. Im 5 ft 8, (uk size 10) and blonde. yet iv lost count the number of times guys have insulted me in bars for no reason. One recent example. I was out in a bar/club having a good time with friends. At midnight we make our way into the club area which was just wrapping up a miss uk modelling competition that had been going on whilst the club was closed to the public. So as you can imagine there are loads of stick thin gorgous girls floating around in skimpy outfits….and more than a fair share of them were wannabes. The guys who were friends or boyfriends of the models were worse, perma tanned and had the "im gods gift" attitude. So anyways im feeling a little self conscious but i got to the bar with my friend to get a drink. as im waiting i notice to my left a rather drunk fake tanned muscluar male standing next to me, giving me a stare that could kill! Honestly this guy was looking at me like i was something unpleasent hed just stood on. After 5 mins of this staring i had to say something so i turned around and said "im sorry but do you have a problem"? To which he replied "yeh you!! You and your BINGO WINGS!!!! I was so shocked at this out burst of sheer nastiness i didnt know what to say. For one who the HELL did he think he was? What the hell had i done to him? Two iv got the most toned and strong upper arms iv ever hand in my life thanks to teaching pole fitness, so bingo wings is something i dont have! Yet here was this guy, surrounded by models thinking he can just call me names and ruin my night because he feels like it.
I quckly regained my composure and pointed out hs double chin and receeding hair line, but still my night was ruined and i went home feeling fat and ugly. But hey as i said before this is maybe number 120 in the random nasty comments or incidents i seem to attract. I dont think anything a guy says to me will surprise me now!

Aww thanks for all the advise everyone. Onepinkprincess you’ve got some really good points there thanks, those are very good ideas. I have been friends on facebook with deb riley, pantera, felix cane and many many others for a while now. I often get invites to taylors retreat and other masterclasses throughout the uk, and i have even been fortunate. Enough To judge a pole competiton with the owner of pole2pole magazine. Its a great way to network with people in the pole world. I am defo gonna arrange a masterclass but I need to save up the pennies! Right now all the money I make goes straight back into the business for more poles and other stuff. Right now I’m doing all I can to promote my school. Pole twista your post made me laugh and really cheered me up lol. Yeh I am defo gonna have a more positive attitude. You are right, iv worked too hard to give up now!

I know i wish we could all just get together and pole jam but unfortunatly the other schools are just too aggressive with what they see as competition. But yeh i do have an unique selling point that makes me different from the others i just need to get it out there a bit more i guess! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif . Guest appearences is also a very good idea! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif
