i use secret.. i really like the conditioning solid…sometimes secret doesn’t have it and i’ll get suave or Dove if they have it. i don’t really like the gel. Isn’t the degree clinical protection the one in the box that like $10?

i’m just gonna keep praying that the weather doesn’t get bad and we will all make it through! i might have to kick this weather’s @ss https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_rambo.gif -

yay! i just signed up for a month. its not as expensive as pole.. thank goodness! i believe the method i am going to is the bikram. i don’t know what the differences are… everyone i’ve talked to about it seems to be interested and we’re actually getting a bunch of girls to go together next week. the local hot yoga studio over here offers a 2 month transformation challenge where you go 5 times a week for two months and watch the transformation. i am def doing the two months (i’m gonna try really hard to go 5x a week but with planning a wedding, moving and pole, i haven’t had as much time as i like)…i’m already signed up for one month =)

I ended up leaving a message and emailing her with my number and they wrote back saying they’d have someone call me asap. I even tried calling right before their pole classes start and didnt get an answer…email is prob the best bet girl. =)

I’m going to karol’s workshops, I think they start at 10am…i think… but karol posted a thread in the ‘Event’ forum with more information. Studioaerial.com is the website i believe, but I don’t think it has much info on it. their emal is: mailto:studioaerial@mac.com if you want to get them to call you to book. I had to leave them a message and email them to get a call back. I’m so excited! =)
-
She called me back today and I booked… =) yay! =) see you then!

Well the strip club ive been to around here just wore bikinis and once one of them wore a cute see through top with a bikini underneath (or nothing). What i would suggest is looking online for some really cool looking bathing suits whether it be a monokini or a really cook bikini. The higher priced stuff is really cute (of course!). =)

The only grip issues I had were when I first got it. Once you ‘condition’ the pole, the grip is fine. If it’s really cold and you’re not warmed up, it will be a bit slick, but grab a grip aid or turn up the heater and you’re fine. <3 my platinum stages multi piece! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif
what do you do to condition it?? I’ve been considering a PS but the stainless wasn’t something i had thought about. Have you used crome, and how does it compare to your PS pole grip wise?
-
i’ve never played on a brass before. I decided against buying the brass because
1. more expensive
2. more care (cleaning and such)
3. didn’t want to become dependant on being more sticky at home and not be able to do anything in class.Comps normally use crome, right?

MemberJanuary 7, 2010 at 1:51 pm in reply to: xpole?!?!?! what is wrong with you dear xpole?i did use a level so that can’t be it.. i’ll have to check the dome part.
Veena, do you mean the bar that goes it the dome is to far up, or the little nut thing that stops the bar from moving is too tight?
thanks! =)
maybe there is some hope after all… -
i have noticed the PS poles at the studio are more slick.. I guess that is where the stainless steel comes in?
Right now i’m having issues with my xpole. I’m fixing to post a thread on the issue i’m having to see if anyone has any feedback on the same problems.
-
Yea the Xpole just doesn’t spin very much. The PS one that i’ve used spins like crazy! =) its the permanent one and i dunno if that makes a difference or not but they do seem to wobble when you spin them too… weird.
lol i’ll keep that in mind if i get a PS.. :KIM GOTTA REMEMBER KIM:

yea i’ve had to email them a few times since i got my pole in march and they seemed helpful at first. I needed something because a part on my pole cracked. so they sent the part no problem. But they didn’t send me a diagram or anything on how to install it and when i emailed them back they said they didn’t know what i was talking about and she gave me a very vauge diagram of installation … i need machinery to get it installed (what a pain). Then i emailed again about the base insert and how to get it out of the base because the manual shows its supossed to be stored separately so you can fit the dome and the base together in the cases. She told me she never takes hers apart and i shouldn’t either. I thought the best place to go for advice on the pole was the actual company that made them but apparantly not. Its just aggravating more than anything. I still really like my pole but i had always heard good things about their customer service and Xpole is a little cheaper than PS so i thought it was the best fit.
That sucks that you heard PS doesn’t have good customer service either.. i hadn’t heard anyone talk about their customer service before. hmm..i looked on PS website and they have the bottom loaders already. They have a really cool pole that changes color =) i don’t think its removable tho.. i dunno. Makes me wish i was rich! =) lol
