this happens to me all the time! we seem to be at about the same level pole wise and that can be leading to your frustration too, the beginning moves are easier, therefore take least time to get, so you may get 3-4 moves in a practice and then when you’re working on trick that can take months to get and it gets frustrating!! just keep at it, listen to your body and it will come to ya =)

    good luck!!

this spin is killer!…i decided to work on it tonight, I just cant get my back split leg(the one you pivot on) out from behind the pole when i go to spilt https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gif …Roxy does it so badass! but i did do it into a TG Aysha and that was pretty sweet https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_bounce.gif …ive been trying to think of cool ways for me to get into TG hold without just reaching up and i’m far away from a RG to TG…i still need the floor to get up there…now if i could only make it look more fluid I’d be set…but either way Im keeping this spin high on my "tricks to own" list =)

when i do my pretzel i do i serious RG, i kick way out to the side, grab high and i use my L hand (for me its my sub dom) and kinda PUSH off the pole when i begin to wrap around, it lifts me higher on the pole so i can spin more, pants is GREAT for this move to help you spin when you’re learning, but really its not the type of spin you go around a trillion times. As for on spinny you kinda just walk into it and then will spin pretty but you dont need it. And i always just kinda step out of it, i use my right (bc i wrap with my left) leg and kinda step farther away from the pole than you would think and i spin out…i learned it from and alethea austin video, her twilight video or something like hat…good luck with it, everyone thinks its impressive when they see it =)

i got my brass monkey from the floor, i get into a handstand then hook in for my brass monkey…to get the feeling, so you could try that. Im working on my SG straight edge bc i have my ext butterfly super easy now from catrwheel mount, but like everyone said they all suggest caterpillar FIRST…sooo im working on that (not doing very well haha). When i was stuck with those moves you are, i learned butterfly, and ext butterfly, plank, iguana, and practiced superman from the ground too. I want my straight edge so bad…like u said, BIG building move there =) good luck!!!

I agree with the person above who said to the untrained poler the aysha isnt ASSS impressive as we all know it is. A reverse grab and pretzel usually get people going AWWW…and i cartwheel into an ext butterfly and all my friends think its the coolest thing ever, when really its a piece of cake. But if you really want to toss it in there, i agree going to butterfly would be a safe and still impressive 2nd option. good luck!!

this is so true!!! once you lose wieght you’ll hate ur boobs then you’ll hate this or that, its how i am anyway. Do it for you not for anyone else, if that’s what they want at that club that’s their perogative but dont let it get ya down lady! keep up the good work! I used to work for VIP’s gentelman’s club in chicago (holla chitown sista!) as a spokes model so i know how it goes in the industry.

AHHHHHH p90X…its how I lost all the baby weight with my second child. Im a HUGE fan of P90, its really hard, my hubby used to laugh at me doing a home video everyday but then I go here…u try…he was sore after just ONE SET durning chest and back and hes a flippin’ marine and police officer with an amazing bod!!!! so there! haha

the hard thing to to stick with it for the 90 days, 3 months is a long time, and its hard to work out 6 days a week, but i had a newborn adn a 1.5 year old and i found a way to do it. If you stick to it you’ll do great! Just be aware I did it with a friend and we didnt loose tons of weight right away, i DEFF got more toned my endurance and strenght were throught the ROOF but i wasnt sheading a ton of Lbs on the scale, and I also wasnt loosing tons of inches either but it did come off, just stick with it especially during ur platues. My key was to add in more cardio then they do in the program and it started making EVERYTHING happen, and fast!

    BEST WISHES!!!!

Ok MY X-Pole has come down ONE time and that was b/c i never tightened it, since then i tighten it about once a day if im doing alot of spins or things for a long while but she is deffinatly in there now haha…

HOWEVER I too have a 9 ft ceiling and its WAY too extented I have a beam that comes down and i use that to put my pole up on b/c i was having to extend so far…so im asking ARE there people who have the x pole exteneded to fit a 9 ft ceiling (even way past the "hand" measument) and its stable…I was going to buy the extention piece b/c right now its like at the very lowest it can fit in a room and i cant climb high at all

I agree with fluer, I post on here with things im trying, or successes, or if I need help with something. No matter how confident you are in what your doing a lower than 5 rating brings ur moral down, and thats not the point of sharing on here. Kudos is a brilliant solution when you dont know what to write, but ya liked what ya saw.

Yeah I noticed it too, I even replied to a video of ABC b/c she’s a friend from youtube and facebook and I saw her video had 2 stars at one point and I thought it wasn’t very nice…and totally unwarrented…very youtube like everyone was saying. I noticed some of my picture/videos were rated at 3’s and 2’s aswell and I chalk it all up to people who are jealous of the openess we all have on this site, and the few rare people who show up on here and like to bring others down. As of late I have noticed its getting better people are not rating things as low as they were when I first became a member, I thought maybe it was because I was new or something but I love to encourage and cheer people on no matter WHAT they are doing! I love this site! I know how it can be discouraging when you see less than 5 stars but dont let it get anyone down!!

    Poley Love to all!

well, I was a gymnast aswell, also a dancer and a cheerleader, so I think I have picked up poling a TAD faster than the average person with no athletic background. I taught myself with online vids, i DEFFINATLY got a good pole, anything cheap is a total waste of money…go X Pole for sure =) I also have the 45mm and I love it! Im starting classes now after Ive had my pole for 3 months, i learned alot. I finally found a class by me in here in chicago and I contacted the instructor and told her that i had a bit of experiance and didnt want to spen the full tutuion on an 8 week class at level 1 if I was maybe at level 3 ect, so Im doing a "teaser" class that was $40 bucks then she’ll figure out what class im in and the 40 comes off my tuition, so se if they do something liek that. I bet there are AMAZING classes in LA…i think thast where your from…isnt BeSpun in LA? not sure either way i was in your shoes and i got pole first played for a bit then did classes. good luck!!!!

Poling is SO MUCH HARDER THAN IT LOOKS! 9 times outta 10 if it looks hard, they are not doing it right haha! You’ll get stronger with time, and you’ll toughen up any skin that burns or pinches when you try different things. One thing I can say is if you have a pole that does "spinny mode" however tempting it may be, keep it on static (still) mode, its much much easier to hang on, you may not spin as many times around but you’ll be able to hold on!!

and no worries about the BF being able to do the tricks you want to do, they just have more upper body strength! my strength and flexability has increased so much! jsut stick with it, and dont try tricks that are too advanced, stick with fireman, and sunwheels, then move up little by little!

    best of luck! Happy poling!
