I also have these I kinda regret buying them as they make me sweat so much and they are difficult to get off again lol very uncomfortable. But they are brilliant grip. No slip at all though so if you wanna slide in and out of a combo of moves they ain’t great for that. I’m not sure why you can not use them on stainless steel maybe they don’t grip as well or something. I’m cutting down on buying expensive pole clothing also as I have far too much and some stuff I just really didn’t need like those leggings.

Tatsiana you may need to strengthen the muscle further, before you train it for more flexibility.

I agree veena is where I first started and I find that I still needed deeper stretches than just the ones which are on the DVDs they did help though… veena has the whole package plus the back mobility routine and warm ups are great 💜 so informative for starting out.

I’m glad you made a decision. It’s probably the right one for you at this time, do not worry what others think. You have done what’s right for you that’s what’s important and taking a break is the best thing you can do, I’m training from home at the moment currently taking a break from my studio and show cases, for personal reasons.
You will come back stronger, maybe a nice break is what you need, spend sometime doing somethings that make you happy and feel good. I hope you feel better soon. 💖

It’s easier said than done.. but is there anything you can do that would take your mind off it for a while just so you could calm down like taking a walk or going to your favourite place.

Yes it’s supposed to be fun but it is scary at the same time, that’s what makes it challenging, I find the more I get on stage the more I enjoy it.
I’m still nervous.. but I act out a different persona I’m not me when I’m up there I really try to take on the character. It’s like acting, your a different person for those three mins try to think of it like that really get into the song and theme and take your time with your moves, you will be too busy thinking about your moves and holding them to be nervous adrenaline will kick in and it’s a good feeling. Plus when your doing the moves you don’t have much time to even look at the audience they are a blur. 💖😊

Do the breathing exercises before you go on stage it works so well. I really hope this helps. 💜

You could try using simpler moves they will still look pretty and impressive. Do some breathing exercises like in through the nose 4 seconds out through the mouth 6 seconds this slows the heart rate and helps with anxiety. Plus there’s this thing my sister told me about called legs up the wall you laydown at the base of a wall bum to the wall legs straight up for a little while, hope that makes sense then to come out roll to the side with legs bent like a ball position before you get up cus it can make you a bit dizzy. It calms you down. Or have you ever tried meditation look up some techniques. Just relax, it’s fun not a contest or anything. You will be fine and it’s only 3 mins on a stage it will be over in no time so enjoy it.

Wow that periscope was just what I needed to listen to thanks for that veena and thank god you didn’t quit your an inspiration and fantastic poler, your tutorials are so detailed it makes it easy to learn. I def will take note on being more positive and not get down on my self so much for being slow to progress at pole. I just love pole.

Totally agree with veena practice will help your style whether it be sexy or graceful or both I used to feel awkward doing sexy. Your confidence will grow with practice videoing helps too.. I feel a lot more confident now even though I’m not the best at sexy I won’t give up. 😊😊 key doing what your doing things will get better.

I think for me the only way to get over the fear of any trick is to do it over and over so you become familiar with all aspects of the move, all upside down moves are pretty scary until you know the move inside out, once you do you will feel more comfortable doing that particular trick even if it’s just a basic invert. Hope that makes sense xx

I wear wigs, my hair is very thin and I ended up having to cut it real short and I really missed my long hair so I started wearing wigs veenas advice is spot on I wear them a lot now on and off the pole a good wig cap will also keep the wig on lots of practice like flip it a bout try it on spin upside down will tell you whether you need to add bands or Bobby pins etc..

  • Same mine reached 6% then stopped

  • I’m having the same prob… I have the 5 and it takes too long to upload I dunno why..

I have just started week 2 of the 30 day challenge of back is the new black, I’m finding the core exercises tough I can not do them all yet but I’m loving it so far the stretches are really deep for the shoulders which is brill if you pole a lot. My back flex is awful lol as you can see… I can’t back bend very well. It will be great to see if there’s an improvement.

Just reading all the replies in here makes me miss studio veena I’m not here as much as I used to be, but when I do log in I always find its a lot more positive than attending a studio. I’m in a love hate relationship with studios sometimes I have good days there and some not so, so I find my self only attending the studio one to 2 terms a year. It helps me balance my pole training and sometimes I need spotted and a mirror and some extra space,it can be difficult training with other women who have issues when I also have issues, it can be quite intense and sometimes a personality clash, but that’s my personal experiences. I do my best not to compare but I’m human and it gets me down now and again. But at home I’m only worried about my progress and what I want to achieve. It’s really great that we can share progress here I love seeing everyone’s videos and cheering you all on. I never really believe I’m not doing my best, because slow progress is good for the body it gives you time to grow and look at the details. I’m a slow learner I accept this but can feel my self get stronger by the month. 💜 hope this helps a bit.

Awesome Veena I have always lived by these rules when training after I had a serious injury, I was lucky and glad I bounced back from, so training carefully now and enjoying the journey. I’m a slow learner but it definitely is not a bad thing I find I progress better and with out injuries 💕☺️😍 train safe everyone 👌🏻✌🏻

Magnesium salts for your bath or supplements will help, keep it elevated, get some anti inflammatory cream for muscles on it too and make an appointment to see a physiotherapist. I had a tear in mine too and I know how sore it can be get well soon.
