Awww, you guys are so sweet!
This post is a few months old and since the fight I must admit things have gotten a lot better. I think her standing up for herself caused some of those girls to back off. She still gets a hard time sometimes and they still call her fat (because her body is perfect) say she wears contacts (because her eyes are a beautiful color) and even talk about her hair cut (which she just got and it’s insanely cute!). I explained to her that everything they hate about themselves is what they talk about on her. I think she understands that she’s beautiful and secure in herself and that is why some of the other girls have a problem with her. Perhaps they see her as a threat. Idk. I just want my baby to go through her teenage years enjoying herself and not avoiding life because of the drama that might ensue.

There are a lot of good sellers on Ebay (me being one of them) but the thing is tyou can’t guarentee that it’s real unless it comes from xpole themselves or an authorized dealer. I always hide my hand wiping on by rubbing my hands on the carpet. I’ll hit the floor for some floor work and give em an extra rub a dub dub on the carpet to dry em off. I also wipe my hands on my butt frequently. I still haven’t found the cure for body sweat. And I’m a big sweater!

Sosagely-I have started using a stretching video from Stacey Nemour. I got her information from someone else here at StudioVeena. (I can’t remember which forum though) Stacey is a Kung Fu master, and she has some great ideas. I have only done it a few times but I can feel a difference. I’m working on getting up to everyday or even twice a day. The video is only $9.95 to download it from her website or you can purchase the DVD and have it mailed to you (I just bought the digital download because it’s less expensive) The name of the video is ‘Secrets of Splits & Flexibility’. I just started using this same DVD this past weekend and I was just about to mention it LOL. I got it from a fellow Veener (Good looking out kklove!) when I had my surgery a few months ago and the stretches are awesome! I’m going to do it everyday and get my full flexy on!

Seeing you happy and rediscovering your passion means a lot to me because I know what you’ve been going through and I know how that can affect your mood and the motivation to do anything. Your dancing is insanely inspiring to me and always has been and I’m beyond excited to know you’re back in the habit. You even motivate me to get back on the horse. My poles been severely neglected as I work on getting the House off the ground and if you can kick the evil anti-pole monster to the curb than I can too!

I just find it silly that others knew how to post pics on here but I never realized it. I thought you had to use photo bucket or something.I thought you had to use photobucket too. I was just saying (in another thread) how I want to upload a pic into the thread but I can’t get on photobucket at work.

I guarantee you it’s height! I am pretty small, but I wear a medium in most things and actually have a few larges that fit because I am really long everywhere….long legs, long torso, just long!
Sissy I have one question about those shorts….I bought a few with a similar cut from target. They look good and they work okay, and they don’t have a center seam which I really like, but…they’re technically a boyshort. They’re technically supposed to sit from the small of the back to just under the booty around the thigh. But my butt is so technically enormous for my frame that I’m technically obscene when I wear them. I have two options: gratuitous crack or gratuitous cheek. This is why I hesitate on boyshort cuts.

I bought 2 pairs of these and a pair of some black ones they have and am hoping they don’t ride up in the back!! I need me some short shorts that don’t ride in the back! I think it’s funny, here I was checking out at this old lady’s register and was thinking oh gosh please don’t judge me for buying my super short shorts but when she scanned them they all said "underwear" well duh! Didn’t think about that! haha!
Yup. I’m a medium on a good day. I can even get away with an XL in these shorts. LOL

Oooh really? Is being tall a slight disadvantage?
I only ask because I am a bit worried about how I look pole dancing because of my height, I’m tiny, like under 5 feet, I really am a fairy in that respect! :p But I was worried because all the great dancers I see seem to have legs that go on forever and they look so cool on the pole. Does height really make a difference?

LOL, try practicing it standing up. The booty pop concept is the same and you can get an idea of how to do it that way before trying it on the pole. Gelina has some awesome tutorials for booty popping on youtube but theyre private (I think) so she’s have to add you to the special peoples list for you to see them. She pops a little differently than I do on the pole though, she uses more leg action which is super hot when standing but I don’t know if it would work while aerial. I’d like to see her do that actually…..to see how it looks.
