Hey guys- i booked my ticket today for the 15th! angel that really sucks if you can’t make it.. i don’t think we’re 100% sure what’s going on yet with the studio or with the dates though. JC said Jessalyn is checking for availability for the weekend of the 18th.. but there are some back up studios too.
This is the date we originally said, but if this date doesn’t work for some people, maybe we could do it right after the holidays? We’d also have to ask Veena though, since it’s also supposed to be a christmas pole party.
Ok if Azy is coming on the 15th then that weekend would be the best time. because who has a Xmass shin dig after x-mas??
It just ain’t fittin!

Determination is important, especially in pole because it’s not easy. Many of us aren’t going to get a move the first, second, 8th or 100th time we try a move and without determination we’d give up and there would be no polers.
And what would the world be then? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cry.gif

That would push it up to the beginning of December. When is Az going to be in town?
My Christmas dates aren’t set in stone. I suppose if we jam on the 18th or 19th I can fly out the following day…

That sucks man. I’m sorry to hear that.

I have constant callouses on my hands, especially the fingers with rings. I don’t think there’s really anything to do about that though, because even if you were able to treat them…they’d probably still come back after more poling.

I wonder if that stuff would help?
Someone else posted about getting sick on spin too, but I can’t remember who or when it was or what answers they got…

Oh wait a sec….that’s the weekend before Christmas. We’re supposed to be going to Texas for Christmas….can it maybe be the weekend before that?

Are you talking about her recent spinning scorpio tutorial?

Yin yoga and it’s long holds really helped me (and my hips!) – I will provide some links below to some of my favorites. This site is great because they do offer some adjustments/modifications, as well as suggested hold times and contraindications. Getting a little kitchen timer will help make sure you stay in the pose long enough – the big thing here isn’t to push yourself as far as you can when you first get into the pose. As you stay somewhere that’s comfortable, you’ll be able to sink and soften into it. This yoga targets the tough connective tissues, not the muscles. You will feel about 90 years old coming out of these poses after being in them for a few minutes, so be gentle! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_monkey.gif

I did the butterfly to flatline scorpio once. It wasn’t a real good flatline but it was somewhat similar LOL. It just happened kind of naturally and then this cool spin thing happened as I slid down. I can’t recreate it now of course, but it was cool when it happened.

Hi Cynthia,
I don’t think there is a good time frame that anyone can give you that can say how long it will take you to learn tricks because everyone is different. I can tell you right now as you’re starting out, the biggest mistake you can make is to compare yourself to others.
Just do you, take your time, take it slow and have fun! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif
