I’m not warm to be able to use the maxiflex right this miniute so I took a couple of photos of the instruction leaflet to show you how it works. I also linked to a youtube video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NYMkeFbaz50" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I’d skip to 2:50 if you are going to watch it though as it drags on abit. I’m going to take progress photos once a week and will share them with you.

Glitterhips -I know what your boyfriend is talking about, I think those are abit more hardcore though and only work on the box splits, they are also not very easy to store as they are quite large.

Hurray, the MaxiFlex finally arrived today. I had a quick go but didn’t want to go too far as I wasn’t warm. Will keep you guys posted on what I think. It didnt cost much so I’ll be very pleased if it does help me progress.

Hey Webmaster, If it helps I’ve also had this problem in the past 24 hours, so its not just hookedonpole. There has also been a delay in the emails I recieve when people email me on SV and they come through to my person email address.

I have exactly the same problem with my adjuster cover, I’ve tried using a hair dryer to warm it up – that didn’t help. I used washing up gloves for better grip – that didn’t work and even my husband had a go and couldn’t manage it. It doesn’t stop me taking the pole down or putting it back up though. It just makes a difference when aligning the hex screws up, takes a few tries. X-poles customer service in the UK is poor. I’ve emailed them and called them about a number of issues and they are just rubbish at getting back to me.

mine is a 45 and its flush, i think they changed the design on the new xpoles so he wont be able to tell from that. x

Mine didn’t say on the box, it was just a plain brown discret box and had verticle leisure on the outside.

Hi,
I found that my joists were inline with my light fittings and smoke detector. I have drawn on your pic where i think it should be. The lines you can see on your ceiling are probably where the plasterboard is joint up. If you push your hand flat up against the ceiling you should be able to feel if there is any flex in the ceiling, keep trying with your hand until you feel resistance if you can’t hear the difference in the knocking.

My shoes arrived today, they were only £19.98 from eybay and I love them, what a bargain, they only took 48 hours to arrive and I would highly recommend purchasing from them…

I’ve had no problems at all. On a weekly basis I’ll move the pole between my bedroom and living room depending on where I feel like poling. I also manage this by myself and I’m not the strongest person. I do have low ceilings though so my pole isn’t a high one which might make it more difficult to put up alone.

I had this problem until recently when I was taught how to do an exercise called pole tucks. Stand to the side of the pole, inside arm wrapped high on the pole, outside arm across the chest holding onto the pole, raise your knees up to your chest without jumping in a slow and controled manor. I could only do a few to begin with but after about a week of doings these on a daily basis I was able to do an airial invert. I’ll try and find a video link to show you.

I always use my cam too as I don’t have a mirror in my bedroom. Its also quite nice to be able to look back on a whole practice and see your improvements over time.

Hi ya,
I got a xpert bottom loading pole and managed to put it up by myself the first time, although my ceiling is on the shorter side, I guess the higher the ceiling the more difficult it may be.

Welcome to SV You will love it when your pole arrives! Everyone on here is really friendly and I don’t think it matters what age, shape or size someone is, everyone should enjoy pole and like you say "find that sexy sexy" of theirs.
