No clue, but for me I use a 50/50 mix of alcohol and water on mine.

Time to work on teh bootay! 😉

Ah I see. Well you have some thinking to do, if you decide to go that route.

Quancutie23: You will need to call around to places that powder coat and get estimates. It was about $65 for me to get it coated. Each place varies at what they charge.

MemberMarch 25, 2014 at 12:28 pm in reply to: Frustration of getting the invertEveryone gets the invert at different points in their pole journey. I’ve been poling on and off for about two years and I STILL can’t invert yet! I am hoping at the end of this year I will have the basic invert, but also realize it isn’t the end of the world if I don’t. Like others have said work on other moves and come back to it at a later point. Good luck and good pole journey! 🙂

Did you screw it down onto the base as far as it would go?

That is so odd, my ceiling is the exact same height as yours Shadow. No need for extensions. Are you able to get pics? Hope you are able to get it put up.

That sucks! I have a brass x-pole but it was bought RIGHT before the change to the high polished brass they now sell. I couldn’t ever really stick to it.I now have a TG-45 and stick really well to it and have noticed it warms up really easily. Good luck!

I have found some really cute side tie shorts at Walmart. They can end up being a bit cheeky but I don’t mind. Also I don’t know if anyone has mentioned it yet, but swimsuit bottoms can also be good pole shorts.

Also forgot to say when my titan was brand new, I used Veena’s steamer trick to get the factory coating off. Worked like a charm 😉

I would clean my pc and brass pole with a mix of half vodka and half water. Right now for my titan I use half rubbing alcohol and water.

You should be able to from Guitar Center or Musicians Friend get decent light sets for reasonable prices. The fancier systems will cost a bit more. My fave which hubby bought me, was the Chauvet Mushroom light. American DJ is a another good brand and I have a light bank from them too.

I would love to add a SV pole into my living room along with my 45mm titan. That way I could bounce between the two. A gal can dream though 😉

Hubby has played on my pole a few times. Last time he was trying to invert, if our ceilings were taller and more pole length, he would have gotten it! He was able to instantly do the corkscrew spin, one that I still am unable to get. One of these days I’ll sneak a picture of him doing something 😉

I started poling about two years ago, on and off and well it’s been an off period for a very long time. And the mindset Veena mentioned, I have fallen into that trap and it’s been a real bitch to get out of. I am in it right now. I have poled a little bit more as of late, and have SV lessons. Plus have a friend teaching lessons. All I can say is, take it one day at a time. 🙂 Good luck and good pole journey 🙂

I would hop on that deal, if it is a deal. That must have cost them an arm and a leg to ship that up here from Aussie. Wish X-Pole sold that style here. I have the regular titan 45mm.

I’ve done the hair dryer trick. Also maybe using a garment steamer might help? Clean it and warm it up all at the same time 😉

My purple pole was named Dixie after the colour she was pc’ed in, Dixie Purple. Never named my brass, and haven’t found a name for my 45 titan. My car has the nickname the Red Racer.
@Saphyre; I remember watching Grape Ape growing up, or at least old re-runs. 😛 Ahhh the good ole days of cartoons 😉

I went to our local bowling alley and found the Columbia Non-Slip grip cream. It was $3 for a jar. Totally worth it to me. Can’t wait to try it out.

Here is a recent discussion on powder coating your pole. I had mine coated 2 years ago. The pix are on my page.

I cleaned it with a 50/50 mix of vodka and water. I’m sure a 50/50 mix of rubbing alcohol and water would work just as fine.
