Hi and welcome to the site! I’m glad to hear that you returned that flirty fitness pole…very dangerous!

I actually bought my x-pole off of ebay from a seller called HUSSY Store. They are completely 100% legit! I checked them out before buying! This was way before I found this site!:)

Get a vid up!:) When you invert, the leg that you put on the front of the pole (pole touches back of calf) should stay put when doing the inverted thigh hold. Your other leg(that is behind the pole) should extend towards the ground. Hope this helps. I can do this, but sometimes I still have to think about what I’m doing… https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

wasn’t this posted here before?? maybe it’s just dejavu!

hey T! the pull is great for building strength in your whole upper body! It helps a lot especially when you go to do any kind of spins or inverts when you need to pull your body off of the ground!
glad you made it over here!

I think this happens to everyone…especially when they are working on new things. We need to let our bodies rest so the muscle memory can kick in.
Glitter you did not lose your sm!! It’s still there! You just have to coax it out again! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

That was wonderful. It’s amazing what the human spirit can accomplish!

Glitter I hate to see that your in a rut! I know it is frustrating. I think the idea about writing down your pole goals is a fantastic idea! I do this but it is usually on a stick-it note at work…when I should be focusing on my projects!:) I also find that I start going into a rut when I don’t allow myself to take a few days off and let my body and MIND recouperate! when you take time off you can replay moves in your mind…remember learning new things is physical but also mental. Your sm was great and you are a wonderful dancer! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

Are you looking for moved to "detenderize" your thighs?? I would suggest doing pole sits. They hurt like hell but do wonders at getting you used to using that skin!
Definitly practice your spins esp the chair spin if you are working on the reverse grab!
Other than that you keep working on the invert. When you say "hands free thing" are you talking about an inverted crucifix?? If so…keep practicing that!
