Thx Grayeyes, I will. I love the big mirror too!! I think I got a great price…it was $275 delivered and installed through gigantic mirrors. I would definitely recommend them if anyone is looking for a mirror to purchase.

Grayeyes!!! sorry it has taken so long to get pics of my pole room but here it is!! Still a ways to go but it’s getting there. I need to figure out my floor situation, my husband made sure I have the whole square for extension purposes, so I’d like to put maybe floating floor there. Also where the door is in the right, will be where I want the stall bars.

Thx for ur reply. Feeling less sore today. I was trying to think if I did one exercise more than the other on Saturday to be more sure in the right. I did actually teach beginner leg hold and push up for climb motion from ground with my right leg in back that day so maybe? Sore from that too?
    Thx again 🙂

One more question…when I pledge it sends me to amazon to pay. Now do they hold that amount until end of time limit and if funded charge it and if not they release it? I guess I am asking if they hd that money on card? I want to pledge today but I don’t get paid until Friday or Saturday, that’s why I am asking thanks!!

This is awesome!! I hope to pledge soon, on or before Friday. I would like to get some for my friends as well. I may do the 10 pack. Anyhow, I know you will reach your goal but just to clarify, what happens to all the money if the goal is not reached? Is there a possibility I could lose my money??? Does my pledge/backer price include shipping if I’m in the u.s.? If I want some normal copies and one signed copy? Do I pledge two different times? Also, I saw that cute tote bag, is that just for a giveaway or can they be purchased from you somewhere? Thx in advance, your comic is always cute and funny.

I have the girls in my class do handstand walk ins facing the pole. From standing with back against pole bend forward hands on floor in handstand position, put one leg up on pole top if foot on one inside knee one outside of pole like a climb position/step up, push with arms and our other leg above the lower walk hands in a little bit then put lower leg above and so on while walking arms in u will get to pole facing handstand. From there u can practice one leg in front one in back for inverted crucifix, or calf hooked behind other above head in butterfly with hands on ground, middle split handstands, no pole handstands eventually, caterpillar etc. to get down either cartwheel off, walk hands out and slide pole between legs slowly. I like to have the girls do the handstand walk ins at least 3 to 5 times per class it’s a great upper body builder. It’s slow go at first but they are walking in to handstand in no time 🙂 good luck!!

January 21, 2014 at 9:50 pm in reply to: What do you do for a living?

After graduating uc Davis with a bachelors in animal science and management, I decided to expand my family instead of becoming a veterinarian. I spent four years as a vet tech in a couple hospitals in Reno and sac. After working thru my second pregnancy I took my maternity leave and never went back!!! It was too expensive for child care, plus I wanted to stop missing my kids lives, I worked multiple jobs plus school while my so was growing up and did not want to miss it anymore, I wanted to be there for him and my new little one, which are now 12.5 & 2.5 years now. I found pole again almost 2 years ago, started back at it and have been teaching a beginner class ever since. Not much money in it but the other benefits outweigh the money by far. I have missed the veterinary field and hoped to go back when my daughter is old enough for preschool or possibly wait until kindergarten. Although I know I’m doing the most important job as SAHM, I miss the social interaction with adults as well as the feeling of worth I get from the veterinary field. My “new” job for the past year has been getting my husbands corporation established, legal, and fully functioning. It’s been a tough curvy road but we r up and running. I am now using the part of my degree I never planned to use and only acquired to expand my qualifications….accounting. I’m doing the bookkeeping and office stuff, it’s ok, I like that I can do from home but it’s definetly not helping animals. For all the jobs I’ve ever had, I’m pretty happy with what I’m doing and where my life is at this point. I feel proud to be helping my husband build what he has dreamed of. I also like that I love and am very addicted to pole and that my husbands job is in the cell tower industry. I climb, he climbs…lol now to get him to do iron x from the top of the tower!!! With climbing gear of course, but I can imagine the most amaZing street pole picture ever!!!
Loved reading the other responses, it is true that anyone can do this and we are all sooooooo different with our jobs. Inspiring and interesting.
