I just wanted to add, I was looking at youtube for some splits help-tutorials and found elastic steel? He seems to be good at a lot of things than just splits, so FYI and wish you all and myself a lot of BENDY love!

That trip was awesome! I was right about not being able to steal away from the trip. When there is a lot of in laws and friends it took up a lot of time. But we went to east beach near watch hill a lot, but really The Dunes was where the fun waves were at. We ate at Cove which was yummy! We went to downtown Mystic and had " mystic pizza". We had Friendly’s. A few hour visit to Mohegan Sun Casino. We went to the mystic seaport. We visited some extended inlaws for a fam reunion at a lake somewhere. The first day we toured my husband’s childhood that included Westerly, Stonington , Mystic, It was hot! Everybody was really nice. There were times I really wanted to steal away though!

I’ve gotta look into my husband’s planned itne…. but I gotta say I am considered somewhat begginner. I have invert to handstand feat. So it has kept me from doing inverted tricks. Gotta a lot of spins down and good dancing for never dancing before- so I assume I am too early for a workshop like that.https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif ALso gotta say I saw the pusifier video before this thread started and gotta saw it was awesome! My husband is letting me know Trumball is kinda far away:( Sound like it will be fun though!

I have more shoes than dancing talent! Jewelery for mother;s day, annaversary of B-day?! No I can give a list of shoes I’ve been wanting and he is so sweet he picks his choice out of those. My favourite have been the uv glow pink and the other uv glow white. BUT I haven’t gotten to see them lit up do to my black light not beeng strong enough! I think my fav first pair was back top with ankle straps and clear bottoms. My husband was most impressed with them when I got them too!

I’ve decided to do some one on ones with my pole instructor to nail it through repitition and improving technique. IF I want to be bad ass- gotta get stronger that these core tricks!

I know exactly what you mean. I can invert but once I’m upside down I can’t slide into the handstand. I don’t trust my leg grips and it kinda got into a bad habit now of my hands getting stuck and having difficulty pulling them away. At first the hands weren’t a problem but now they are! I am thinking really great cushion and repitition will help you if yu’ve got the invert down, just make sure you keep improving instead of getting other bad habits on top of the origional fear. Something seems scary about your head being directly below your hips and feet even if you don’t have any extra weight above your head. I’ve always been a careful girl and inverting has been out of my element. I do wonder for myself if I were super strong and musclely if it would seems less scary and more secure.

May 28, 2010 at 6:55 pm in reply to: Here’s how much my job sucks….

my job really sucks, i work overnight, with mandates, I’m supposed to have NO computer time, books, and NO cellphone or any reading material, no leaving work for lunch, no duty free work breaks. Every year we have to spend 2 hours in sexual harrassment / work apppropriatness to keep employees from possibly filing suits or claims for things possibly seen as innapropriate to others. We even had to take a quiz at the end. LOL Bottom line is this could make a prude feel really uncomfortable at work. Men at work may see this and speak about it and it could be an awkward position for even those uninvolved. I am playing devil’s advocate??? I am really kinda nervous about the IT guy finding out that I check on my face book account several times a week. If shopping online at work was cool I’d be happy- when you do all you can do on a quiet night what else is there? I’d rather do that then spend my time talking a lot of private stuff just to keep busy and not GO CRAZY! However I chose this job and as the employee I must appear to being effecient and hard working. blah blah blah. Veena is something I would prefer to keep out of my work life. BUT I love checking in every day! I always joked to my husband about the day I could quit my job and start my dream of training to be the next leigh ann or Jeyne LOL.
