I now have two pairs of uv glow shoes and I only now realize the regular black uv light bulb even if appearing to be strong enough isn’t. My very important question so I can REALLY enjoy these shoes is what kind of black light is strong enough, what do I need to buy???
    THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Incandescent black lights really will not do it, you need the fluorescent fixture kind. And do not think compact fluorescents will work just as well, they will not. You need the long tube kind. I have a 18" black light that will light up my garage if it is the only source of light.

    From a Halloween lighting website:

    Fluorescent Tubes
Generally speaking, the bigger the better.
    – 5 inch tubes work well on objects a few inches away
    – 18 inch tubes will work for a small room
    – 48 inch tubes (4 foot) will illuminate objects up to 40 feet away
