I feel your pain.. I have hyperhydrosis as well and nothing works. I’ve tried every grip aid I can find including mighty grip, tite grip, dry hands, dirty girl poltice, rock climbing chalk, prince grip, itac, everything basically and none of them work.. Sometimes I might get 5 or 10 mins without gloves when I use tite grip but I’m still constantly wiping my hands even then.. I manage to sweat through the gloves and have to get a new pair roughly every 4 weeks.. Gloves have been the only thing that help me feel secure in handsprings as I have fallen badly before
The dermatologist I saw said they don’t really do Botox in the hands over here anymore because it isn’t effective. It is more effective under your arms etc
Good luck finding something.. I’m hoping to try the Drionic one day -
If I think of it I’ll post a video of me doing it lol

Raven did you also learn how to pray to the Spatchcock gods with Felix?? I did a workshop with her last year and its an important aspect from the floor haha

Lilred they do have a pair covered in sequins but you can’t pole in them 🙂

I’ve always done that too and I had someone tell me it was wrong because it puts strain on the tendons in the index finger.. I feel like that might happen from overuse like with any muscle or if you weren’t strong enough through the rest of your hand/arm
I’d rather have my wrist aligned and feel stronger in my grip any day 🙂 Magic finger FTW -
they are awesome! I got mine at Poledance Academy when they lady that makes them was there and they are soo good!

Aw I’ll have to do this when I get home tomorrow! I have green short leg warmers and top 😀

Do whichever one you enjoy the most I say.. They both have pros and cons 🙂

I lost my dog after last week after the neighbours dog dug a hole under our fence and bit him.. He was my furbaby, my family and my only compainion (hubby works away)
Pole and the girls at my studio are the only thing that has gotten me through the past week (officially a week today) Losing yourself in a song or concentrating on a trick really does help.. I’d be a mess without pole -
I had pain in my lower ribs and it apparently came from the fact that instead of using my core I was using only my abs and they were starting to tighten and pull my ribs out of place.. Good reminder to ensure you always engage your whole core..

try searching under leg warmers? 🙂

I didn’t go near twisted grip (except shoulder mount) until about 2.5 years in to my pole journey and I’ve not had any issues with it ***TOUCH WOOD***
I believe that it had alot to do with my body being trained and muscle developed enough to support the odd positioning of my shoulder in the move. I favour twisted grip because I actually fell out of SG and broke my collarbone in 2012 however I still try not to overdo it and if I feel the muscle start to tighten I back away.. I actually have more issues with my bottom arm in the forearm from pushing! :/ silly bodies -

My studios is booty_worx as well 🙂

I didn’t fall in a performance but do fall out of a static v/ split grip Ayesha and broke my collar bone. I was very very lucky to not break my neck so I understand how you feel.. It was a move id been doing for a long time.
I got back on the pole the minute I was able but was and still am very wary of that move.
I am now very aware of how high risk pole is and get scared for girls in the studio when they look shaky..It’s like most sports but we do spend more time upside down than any other sport I think which gives the high risk of head/neck injuries..
No one would laugh at you you have nothing to be embarassed about either!! If you get up for another performance everyone will see how brave you are 🙂
We had performances yesterday and one of the girls tops came off and we all had a good laugh but she handled it well 🙂 -
Yes definitely!!

I have five things that will be my resolutions for next year:
– Free standing back bend into bridge
– Splits consistantly and with good form
– Deadlift into twisted grip to Static V
– Enter a competition (I have horrible stage fright)
– That blasted Iron XNext year will be my fourth year of pole dancing 😀
-
That’s similar to how my pole looks and it still works fine.. It’s just how brass goes.. I have good and bad days on brass depending on humidity, my skin etc

And soooo many more on the Facebook pages!

Hi ladies!
I have a bit of a shoe obsession and have been buying pole shoes for 3 years.. My first pair was the delight 6 inch in patent black and chrome and they lasted me about 2 years before the sole split from the platform (shouldn’t have left them in the car on so many hot days)
The main reason I’ve seen the patent peel away is because people climb using the actual shoe (which is handy because it sticks) I climb with my foot rather than the shoe and have never damaged the patent section.. (I think I subconsciously protect them haha)The platform is going to get scuffed just like normal shoes would when you wear them
All the more reason to buy more 😀

Yep nine weeks… I couldn't do anything because it didn't heal 🙁 I was so miserable the whole time
The feeling takes a while to go away you just have to make sure you get back on the horse and go back to doing the move 🙂
