I have small boobs too, 36A on a good day. lol. I love them though I can run, dance, pole, go braless whatever. They are smaller then when I began (small B) but mine have always fluxated with my body fat. Funny enough I weigh about the same as when I started poling…but boy my body is different. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

Congrats on going for it. I was 30 when I started a little over a year ago and have surpassed my personal goals from when I started. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif This community and Veena's lessons are amazing! Oh and welcome to SV/

MemberAugust 11, 2012 at 12:02 am in reply to: Downsplits/Special K/Oona splits tutorials or prep exs? Each time I practice this I am able to lean out a bit further. I will say this is one move that I did not attempt without a spotter the first couple of times. Now I practice it alone. I think a lot of people practice it from the floor first. I didn't like it from the floor, but had a strong downsplit on the pole before I tried it.

Smells too fishy to me. Lyme is far from the only person on here that has accidently bought a fake…on ebay. I have heard many horror stories. For me personally if I have to question a purchase this much I skip it.

Yep I looked like that for at least 6 months. I have always bruised very easily. Happy to say I haven't looked like that in months though lol. I do occasionally still bruise, mainly on new moves, but they fade pretty quickly.

Veena said it all. Just wishing you a speedy recovery. 🙂

MemberAugust 7, 2012 at 4:18 pm in reply to: Is it a must to attend a pole studio to learn poling?Veena is my only instructor. I would like to try out a studio, but there are none in a reasonable distance. I am going to try to catch some workshops this fall though. I have been very lucky to find this place early on. I have DVDs…that never get used. Between the lessons and members here I get on alright 😀

I love tornado from there. I like tricks that move you up the pole 🙂

Right under 5’10 here 🙂 some ticks have to be modified or take more strength but it can be one! Legend on here is tall too and she amazes me frequently.

Hey just saw you live in Tampa. 🙂 My inlaws live in Brandon, I am down there at least once a year. Can't wait to head back that way in fact.

Welcome to SV I know you will love it here. Also I like your blog. =)

The first link doesn't work for me so I am not quite sure what move you are attempting. Is there anyway you can post a video so maybe we can offer better advice? I would also recommend getting Veena's lessons. Her lessons are easy to follow and incredibly comprehensive; giving points of contact, proper technique, variations and what not to do!

A coworker of mine died taking these. She had an unknown underlying condition that the combo of diet, hormones, and congenital defect was too much for her…..

I know you will both bounce back. It took me a bit after this last break. 🙂

I would also put a link in this post to the video. The more people that see it the better. More suggestions=more possible solutions!

MemberJuly 23, 2012 at 1:15 pm in reply to: Any other fuller figure girls struggle with Allegra? For me I prefer it with the leg already extended because it is less pressure on my ribs.. which is the part of allegra I don't like. I think the spin does help hold you in position with the force… but I have taught others this method on static so I know it can be done. Personally I prefer the look of this move on spin though =)

I wish I had time to dig up a better vid but that was the first one that came to mind. Good luck allegra is a toughie.

MemberJuly 21, 2012 at 5:19 pm in reply to: Any other fuller figure girls struggle with Allegra?I prefer chopper to allegra over any other entry. Chopper up and move the inside arm around the leg and roll down. Of course it does require a strong chopper that goes into almost hip hold to be able to remove the hand.
