Also a big fan of Marlo and Jenyne's side climbs – so pretty…

Hey Guys! I'm so excited to see this thread! I'm going to be in Denver on the 9th, 10th, and 11th of December and I would love to meet up with some Veeners 🙂 If any one is going to around then, or if there are going to be any pole related events going on – i'd love to make plans 🙂

I LOVED karol's routine at the pole convention! As of yet there is no link to it on youtube that I can find, but on badkitty's facebook page there is recording. It embarassing how many times I've played it lol 🙂
-
Hmm. I must have mixed that up, sorry about that. Any way it was the one that was colored yellow

sorry, just noticed I described the PS poles as "bronze" twice. I've never used a bronze pole – the poles I was on where "titanium gold" … whatever that means lol
-
So this is the part where I have to put in my 10 cents about PS "titanium gold" poles. I haven't had any experience on a TG fixed pole, but I have used a TG PS star standalone. The TG was awful! I was too busy worrying about the fact that the metal actually warped (bent) with use. While I do think the TG has some small added grip benefits, it appears to be an inherently softer metal. Even though the pole appeared to only have a TG coating it was still much less stable. During my day of playing with the PS stand alone I used a stainless steel and two of the bronze poles. The stainless was infinitely more sturdy, and by the end of the day the pole was still straight. Both of the bronze poles had really pronounced kinks where they had bent.
After this experience I would advise a bit of caution if you're looking into buying a TG pole.

@ V, when/ where are we planning on meeting friday morning? Also I would like to buy a shirt, are you going to be selling them here?
On a diff note…Just arrived in NYC and was hoping to meet up with some veeners while I'm here. I'll be in town between now and sunday. I'm planning on going to see a few touristy things while I'm here, if any one will like to join me send me a message! After seeing all the scaffolding around this city I can only imagine it would be more fun to explore with polers…. LOL

sounds like fun! 'm heading to NYC on wednesday, so I can be there friday morning 🙂

@ Amy and Heathalynn thanks guys! So far I'm still hoping to be able to attend the workshops. Fingers crossed it takes more than a torn ligament to stop me. Otherwise hope to meet you guys at the SV pole jam!!!! 🙂

Tony shoes are SOOO hot! I've tried on a couple of pairs and I own one. Sadly I find that they fit very poorly. The heel of the shoe is usually too long and the shoe too narrow. I have a few friends that have the same problem. Given the option I would recommend you go down about a half size. For the to work for me at all I had to put an extra hole in the ankle strap,
As a rule pleasers fit me much better. If the fit were better on Tony shoes I would own way more of them. Let me know how it works out!

The good: I'm all geared up for workshops (I signed up for the package of 6 ages ago …at least two months! lol) signed up for the three thursday workshops (two with Alethea and one with Jenyne), saturday with estee zakar, saturday with the winner, and sunday with karol.
The bad: sad story… two day ago I crashed my motorcycle and banged up my arm pretty bad. As of yet it looks like a ligament tear but I have to wait for the swelling to go down to be sure. I'm still going to to go the workshops (I'm pretty sure i can't get a refund anyway???) but I may be there more to observe/ take notes than anything… as of yet I've still got my fingers crossed for superhuman healing abilities.

Getting ready to purchase some tickets! I can't wait to meet some of you guys! Also looking for roommates etc. @ Rena I love the idea of an SV pole jam 🙂
-
This sounds like a lot of fun! And surprisingly enough I DO remember the first CD I ever bought…. it was the n'snc' "No strings attached." I think my pole repertoire could use some goofy 90's music!
-
If you make it to Florida I'd love to pole jam!

That is strange. I REALLY liked KT coats videos. They were actually my first lessons in pole, long before I found studioveena. They're really well made and professionally done. I think KT did a nice job setting up the progressions, and the variations were fun as well.
Just a side note, the second video is way harder then the first one! I was really intimidated the first time I watched it!

@ amyxshi
I really loved some of the songs you recommended! I’m also looking for some new tunes. The ones I liked best were 2 wicky –hooverphonic, I’ve been thinking — handsome boy modeling school, and both the songs by esthero.
I really liked that they had some good instrumental in the background, and a singer with a really sultry/ just had sex kind of voice.
Can you recommend more like these?
Thanks! -
My current obsession = shoes.
I’m look for a pair of heels, 6 through 7 inch, with a metallic platform!
On youtube etc I’ve seen a couple of pairs that have either pink or brass colored/ mirrored platforms and they are soo cute!
Has anyone seen something like this up for sale?
I would love to find a pair in time to add them to my christmas list https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif -
Thats awesome! I actually teach at UTC now! Definitely give me shout if you’re ever in town, I would love to pole jam =)
-
I’m signed up for pole artistry, and the flexibility workshop on Saturday, and the tricks and combos workshop on sunday.
I’m usually pretty shy too, but pole seems to be a pretty tight knit community! When it gets closer to January we should make plans around the time of the workshops, maybe pole jam/ share tips/ stories, etc =)
looking forward to it, and planning on seeing you there! -

You may be a pole dancer if….
…. after receiving a couple of odd looks while boarding the bus you wonder if it was awkward to be practicing your twisted grip lift on the stop sign next to the bus stop.
… you regularly check out metal vine trellises and support beams to see if you can get a good enough grip to do a trick or two, and regularly end up doing said tricks…
… you’re seriously the most interesting girl at a party! especially if the party has a couple of good support beams or an actual pole to play on https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif
