was this after you had gotten it all the way on, smoothed it out and started poling? I’m looking into buying one of these because I’m on anticoagulants so regular pole is too intense for me

Most companies do sell that rope, they just don't always advertise it. I believe trapezerigging.com was willing to sell me just a rope and shackles.

If she bought it through a reputable site, they may be able to help her get her money back

Where did you get this pole from? Did you buy it through a company or a private seller?

I've accepted the fact that I will never have a flat stomach because I have stomach problems including bloat which cause me to have a puffed out stomach.

Honestly, I don't know. But I think I will ask about that when I ask about adding Sunday classes. I spoke to one of the students today and she said that she just thought that since it was a busy class and the beginners needed extra help, she thought it would be okay. I explained that she should ask me first beforehand and that I couldn't let her do it as it would give other students the impression that it was okay for them to do it too

We do not offer open pole at this studio but there is open pole in the sister studio which is in another city

The only time we cancel classes is if an instructor can't make it or no one shows up within the first 10 minutes. I prefer hands on instruction because there's someone there to tell you how you look and spot you but you can still learn from home as well. I've heard people who learn at home actually tend to progress faster because they work on exactly what they want to work on.

We have no office/lobby area. Its literally just one room with 6 poles. Its what allows us to make the classes so affordable. There also are no sign ins either other than when people sign a waiver their first time coming. I think I'm just going to announce at the beginning of each class while we are stretching as a reminder. I also gotta remind people to be on time. For some reason people think its okay to walk in late. I understand when its a complete newbie because our location is a little hard to find but for regulars, they should know. When I was a student, I wasn't a huge fan of the drop in part other than the fact that it meant there were more class times I could make.

All good advice ladies 🙂 there is one girl though that I've been warned may be difficult. A friend of mine works with her and the girl is disliked because she's undermined other instructors (they teach gymnastics) and she's a know it all. That's why the saying it to the group at the beginning advice is probably the best. I already know if I talk to her one on one she is gonna argue

There are 6 poles in the studio and we allow a max of 12 students so if there are more students than poles then people have to share (the number per class always varies. Sometimes there are 12, sometimes there are 3). With how affordable the classes are, there should be absolutely no complaints about sharing but sometimes the fact that they are on the same pole seems to make them want to teach each other. I definitely plan on saying for safety and insurance reasons not to do it because random students trying to teach is definitely not covered under any insurance policy.

I haven't been doing it but I know what it is. They come out with daily videos and you do one video per day. They have hundreds on their youtube channel so you can pick one and just go with it. Be sure to give yourself one or two days off to recover a week.

If you don't care about ever taking it apart or selling it, its fine. But if you do, all you have to do is buy a new x-joint and b pole. I think it adds to around $40 or $50 and you can always ask x-pole if they have a used b-pole for sale. I had the same problem but I fixed it by flipping my b pole upside down. My x-joint will still rotate a little but its like a millimeter or two. If the joint isn't that worn, this will work.

I was lucky enough to find a groupon to a good place with a nearly pain free laser. its one of the alma lasers and I barely felt it on the first treatment. It did hurt a little on the second treatment because she cranked up the intensity but it mostly just felt really hot at times. After the first treatment, it took me at least 2 weeks before I saw enough growth to warrant shaving. Best $300 I have ever spent.

If they don't have the courtesy to get you your product within a reasonable amount of time, let alone respond to your calls, they don't deserve your business.

My friend is in the advertising video for pole sleeves and she said they are amazing. I'm purchasing one soon.

I'm 5'5 and about 160 lbs (I don't think thats considered plus size but I'm a curvy girl with meat on the bones). I used to be 175 but pole helped me drop it and now I'm doing all sorts of tricks that I used to think I would never get. All you need is dedication and a positive attitude and you can do anything you put your mind to :). I went from not being able to climb or invert in my first class to walking on the ceiling over a year and a few months.

The studio I go to in orange county teaches barefoot as well but sometimes we will do a segment of class involving heels and when we have free dance time at the end sometimes girls will put heels on then

No prob 🙂 You can find some good deals on cragslist be sure to check that its an authentic xpole. To do this, check to see that there are two X's on the base in front of where the locking screws are and make sure the dome's ring is opaque. if they claim it is an xpert it should have joints to hold it together.

As far as I know, I dont think so. I have never seen any dealer sell brand new xpoles for less than the retail price because they already dont make that much money off them that way to begin with. Veena already gives us a huge discount by paying shipping for us which is why I bought my pole from her. if you want a new pole for less than retail I suggest finding someone who bought one and ended up deciding they didn't have much use for it or don't have room.
