Lilbit is right. I had that exact joint stuck too…You can totally unscrew the A pole from the base..just be careful theres a bunch lube on the giant base bolt thingy. Remove the adjuster cover screws and then you can unscrew main pole A from the base. Once taken off you wil totally have access to the joint and b able to bang it out. Be careful not to lose the hex screws..those tihngs are squirly and like to hide lol. Good luck!! 🙂

have a shiny Penny day hun.

Just to me safe, ceck the center knot on the joint and make sure it extends out of the joint and is not flush. (this is so it will catch in the half circlar cutouts on the poles) that way it won't spin around inside the pole…

Also check the cutouts. Sometimes the cut outs become damaged when the center knot spins past them. this type of damage will alsi cause a spinning joint.

Lastly, when you put the pole together be sure to seat the key completely in the joint. You can't really over tighten it, and the only way to strip the bolt is to not have the key properly seated. Be sure to alternate taghtening the joint on both sides. Once the pole is up go ahead and triple check each section because som settling may occur when th epole is upright. Seat the key again and give it a quick chek to ensure it is infact tight enough at both ends.

I'm glad you were able to remove the joint, this can be a very annoying experience.Once you've dealt with this situation you will have more confidence when you put your pole together again, and you will know what to do if it should happen again.

Glad things are working out! YAY!!

have a shiny penny day! :-0)

I’m not sure exactly what has happened. Do you mean that your xjoint has twisted inside the pole? If so, then generally the nice folks at xpole will likely tell you the same thing…if you can’t pull the joint out then you have to bang it out or replace both parts. It’s easier to bang it out and hope it doesn’t ruin the pole, then replace the joint. There isn’t another way to unwedge it. You could try to use some grip aid and attempt to twist it out with another person, that helped me once but I think I may have just been lucky. Please see my vid about the xpert- as I’ve had this problem before. Either joint wasn’t tightened evenly and tight enough, or the “nub” in the center ofthe joint did not have enough height to catch the half circular divet inside of the pole, either of these could cause the joint to spin freely inside the pole or cause the pole piece to rotate around the joint. Since only one half of the joint is stuck it is safe to assume that the joint may not have been extended evenly. Xpoleus is really good about helping customers remedy these problems asthey are quite common. I hope some rid bit of info helps ya here. Good luck Hun!

Hey Scandalicious…it's no biggie. (ur comment)  Honestly I think so many people learn bad habits when they first start anything without professsional instruction…look at how many BAD DRIVERS there are on the road lol! surely the thread was to be more focused on instructors who are teaching the wrong techniques but you made a good point…where there are instructors like that there are impressionable students like you and I learning those bad habits. I think we can count ourselves lucky to have access to the right people who care enough to say "hey goober stop kicking" hahahahahaah!!

Ok soooo I also bought this book. (Bob Cooleys The Genius of flexibility) I am so totally lost. I am looking at the pictures and trying to figure out if I am pulling or pushing in what ever direction but it doesn't seem to make much difference. um one more thing…the meridians and personality part kinda freaks me out a little. Maybe I'm just not Zen enough for this.  I will probably end up putting this one on the shelf for a while until I decide if I'm gonna give it another go. Meh

I have a question related but not really. When I post with my iPhone I noticed that I can’t scroll up past the confines of the window so I can’t go up and edit anything unless I delete all the way up and re-type. Is it possible to make the window bigger so I can see my whole post? Then I wouldn’t have to scroll (which isn’t possible anyway) thoughts??

I was initial taught to actually stop on one foot and kick/jump as high as I could until I was upside down. Bad bad bad. Having been so very new and anxious to get up side down that’s what I did until I hurt my friggin back. After posting a vid I was quickly given contructive criticism from veena, sissy, and a few others that I should never ever invert that way. So I back off and began to try and teach myself how to pull up with my abs and such. Still not perfect but much much Stronger and no more
Jumping. Because there are no real governing authorities on specific form some people
Interpret what is acceptable differently and unfortunately students who don’t know any better learn the hard way.

You have to friend Sean Oconner on Facebook and then tag him in a pic and he will return it “pinked” for you. You do mean the glowing pink applied to the picture right? See my photos I have one and the website is actually on my pic. You can actually go to his site (again see my pic it’s on there)
    Hope this helps

You know I love the look of falsies but my problem is that I have a latex allergy, and every glue I have found is a latex based glue. Do any of you know where I could find one that isn't made of latex? I would end up scratching my eyes out if I used the glue provided. I even bought a pair for haloween and as soon as I touched the glue to my eyelid my eyes turned red and started to tear…not good and YES I am also allergic to condoms lol ( I get this one all the time lmao)
