I was finding I could do all the hand grips at home and all the leg grips at the studio. Just now getting them evened up! I was surprised what a difference the 50 made on my legs! I could hardly leg hang at home and in the studio was doing holly drop! lol. Glad I learned on both though. Helped me get some moves in both directions earlier than I would have w just 1 size.

I am soooo excited! I took my kids to gymanastics and talking w the teacher afterwards- i discovered he is a retired circus performer and does privates from his house. He has silks, lyra and trapeze equipment, as well as all the tumbling stuff. My kids and I are going over next week to have a look and see about a group lesson. Even my oldest daughter who has diabetes (shes been very sick lately) and problems w both of her wrists is going to do some therapy there with juggling. Big happy smiling family! Then I can decide if I want toinvest in silks at home and lessons.

I LOVE Aveeno oatmeal!
For equipment I have to second or third the chin up / pull up bar-
But my by far absolute favorite for home is the TRX- you can hang it on a door frame-
You can literally do your entire body and make it quite challenging using your body weight and all of your stabilization muscles. You can take the yoga plow position to new levels as well as advanced stretching. I wouldnt part w it for the world!

@Glitter- can you post a pic of that stretch w the foam roller? I had trouble visualizing it

I REALLY wanted to kick myself in the butt when I "took a break" and started poling again.. I actually flew to Ca to take private classes (from Fl) when Sheila Kelly's studio first opened after it aired on Oprah. I was sooo excited- but when I got home I quickly lost interest because there were NO studios- support ANYWHERE at that time to be found… So I quit! I restarted again about 6 mo ago. When I see / read about other polers who started at that same time and see how advanced they are now I just want to shoot myself for quitting back then! I could have come such a loooong way by now. But, I am where I am- and happy to be here again now. Now I do have support and Im not the lone poler!

I hadnt seen it either- Going to watch now. I took a workshop w Althea awhile back w chair and it was a lot of fun- and much harder on the legs than I would have thought!

Ive been dying to do some chair dance. I second!

I did moves w her support and encouragement that I never thought I could. She spotted me into a true grip hold that I was protesting- got up there w her and she let go of me (still spotting) and to my amazement- I had it! NEVER would I had tried w out her!

Thanks Gals, I guess I will cotact them again and ask to change my order to the DVD's. I have emailed them multiple times w only one response that it was sent to IT in the beginning. That is why I am frustrated! I would thik more than a week would have been plenty of time to send me a new link. I have a lot of computers at home because I home school my kids. 2 desktops, 2 laptops and a pad.. The link wont work on any of them so I am sure it is not a computer issue. It just spins ans spins and never takes you to the download page. Thanks Amy, I didnt know you could do that so the DVD will be fine then. SInce I got my pad- I take it everywhere and is now my preferred!

@CMarie- I have a tg xpert- My husband doesnt want me to leave it up either because of the kids and their friends being over all the time. I put it up and take it down every day, it takes me about 2 minutes. It is not hard at all. I've read about all the problems as well, but for me personally, it has been great. I have had no issues what so ever and love it! Although I would love to keep t up and not go through the trouble of up and down, it really is very simple. I LOVE that I can move it from room to room if I want. (which I do if noone is home- I move to a bigger space other than my bedroom)

This is the brand the best salon around here uses and swears by http://www.yellowstrawberryhair.com/locations-lakewoodranch.php
They have been the featured salon all over, bets in show etc etc
If they trust them, I trust them!
You can curl them, color, cut, whatever so I wouldnt worry so much about the wave. After you wash them a few times, they really do have their own natural wave and bend even though they come staright. I buy the straight (have the fusion) and they bend and swirl around my natural hair within a week very nicely..I have natural wavy hair. The wavy was very unruly and tangled al lot when I tried them, I would stay away from them! I wouldnt have dreamed of ordering staright because I have wavy hair- but it worked much better. It is much easier to curl the straight yourelf in with your natural hair- blends sooo much better. With the clip ons, you cancurl them and remove and the curl will stay in too
http://www.donnabellahairextensions.com/16-inch-full-head-human.html
They come in 16 and 20" – the 20 is really long! I bought the 20" first and was a mistake. Ended up cutting it – was all the way to my waist! lol
I also love the fusion, but understand if you need to take them out.I cant put the clip ins in by myself- was so time consuming. I am so used to them it is just like my hair. 🙂

It took me almost an entire 3 days to do 2 rooms. It smelled badly!! The result is gorgeaous- but it was such an incredible amount of work. I couldnt imagine poling on it however. It is hard hard unforgiving concrete! Also, you have to seal it really good because the concrete is so pourous. I wouldnt want to clean up doggy accidents on it even being sealed!

I am sooo happy! Got a few of my samples in.. I also ordered the itac pole cleaner from Bad Kitty- really hesiatated because of the price. I am SO glad I did. My titanium pole has been so incredibly slick for me. I have been so frustrated cause I cant do even half of the moves I do at the studio at home on this pole- One clean w the itac pole cleaner and I was sticking like crazy! I also got my mighty grip sample. LUV it! I was about ready to sell this pole! I bought the 45mm titanium- then ended up using 50mm brass at the studio (luv). Now I see hope for us. 🙂
@ Emotioncatcher- I bought my tite grip samples here:
http://www.tite-grip.com/buynow.html
I havent gotten them yet, so I cant say how it compares to mighty grip yet (for me)
I also didnt see anything about tite grip 2 lavendar but would also love to try it if anyone has a link….
I cant wait to try the tite grip on my feet as well!.

I would also like an invite if anyone has any!
mailto:juliannabrower@gmail.com
Sounds like a great site and would love to track my pole workouts. 🙂

I just went and ordered all the samples and I am going to experiment to see what works best for me! I also tried the vinegar and found myself to be even more slippery! So far I have only tried dry hands- it works for about a trick or two, then I need to reapply right away and I dont like the dry chalky feeling it gives me. Weird, I get dry and have experienced blisters on my palm- but can still sweat and slip through it right away too! I cant wait for all the goodys to arrive and see what works best for me. I also have a sweaty foot that drives me wild! lol
