i think a lot of pole dancers go through this "the poles are better at the studio" stage. i believe that if you can properly do a trick then you can practically do it any where regardless of tempreture or pole size. you're just comfortable with the poles and temp at the studio… once i started dancing on my  brass 45mm at home after a while i started complaining the chrome 50mm poles at the studio were to thick. just open your mind, push through and before you know it you'll be a pole queen in your living room. ive danced on everything from a 38mm to 50mm, stainless steel to brass.. australias extreme humidity to middle of canadas winter. its daunting at first but you can do it and just realise, yes this is slightly different but not enough to stop me! happy poling 🙂

I agreen with subtle movements and in each pose play with different facial expressions.. Its usually the thing you think wont work which usually does ( or the most awkward pose) Express everything way more that you usually do.. Wear something outlandish you wouldnt usually wear.. Its a photo shoot go a bit crazy! Its hard to get tricks to face the photographer so stick to the moves youre very good at and can cantrol. I think i have a few photos on my profile if you want a bit of inspiration. Best of luck im sure youll look awesome!

Yes it happens to me sometimes. Ive learnt which ones though and if im ever performing for someone i make sure i do the move in a certain direction to them.. Example would be inside leg hang. Thigh cellulite and sometimes my belly looks a little weird so i try do the move with my hooked leg facing the audience 🙂 not sure if thats any help to you but its what i do lol.

I agree with all other tips already mentioned but i would like to suggest getting your elbow very close to you knees and bum back as far as you can get it 🙂 youll get it in no time of you already have split grip etc.

Trick master pole mats come from queensland and i know that because im the face of their company! Yay for me. The mats fit an x-stage and arent super duper soft but will break a fall. However super soft ones can be arranged 🙂 hope this helps xx

Ive used both. If you sweat or live in a humid area go the brass. If your skin is more dry then go the TG.

I love them both you cant really go wrong. I use brass but i need on my legs because thats where my skin is dry. Another thing to consider is that brass can make your hands smell a bit funny from the metal. Hope this helps! X

My boyfriend is the exact same.. I posted a video on facebook and youtube and he wasnt happy at all. We got into a really big argument about it and i tried to tell him i only do it for fitness..in the end he made me delete certain photos of pole dancing off facebook but i kept the video up just as a revenge thing… Been with him for 3 years and ive considered breaking up over it…

When you said your hands get stuck under your thigh it made me
Think that maybe youre hips arent parallel to the floor. If the pole is touching your belly button youre not in the correct position. When you invert make sure your hips are flat, hooked leg pointing right down to the floor. Thats just what it sounds like to me i could be wrong! Good luck and it sounds like youre very close x

It burns for me all the time if i dont get it in the right position. I try to hook my ankle first, slide my torso down and in position then push my knee/thigh into the pole to lock it it while taking my hands off at the same time (make sure your ankle is pushing agensit the pole to try take some of the weight)

If i put my thigh on straight away then i find it burns because i have to allow my body to slide down first and that rips on my thighs! This is just me though. Practice practice and dont give up :))
