I do weight lifting and pole. But I’m not sure what you’re asking regarding how we fit the two together. Can you clarify?

I started when I was almost 35. I’m 38 now. There are also many professional competitors and instructors that didn’t touch a pole til after they were 40 or 50. There’s even a Japanese woman that was on one of those “gots talent†shows that was over 70 years old and had only been doing it for 1-2 years! She did amazing!

@Yayo – I’m not familiar with R-Poles. Looked them up. I have seen them on IG. Personally I would prefer the safety and stability of the Xstage you already have, and maintain use of it WITH the stage plates. I wouldn’t want to risk injury or worse from tipping, slipping, coming down on the frame, or any issues with the ground. XPole is already the best in the industry. Happy Poling.

I’d also like to state the only people I’ve ever seen use a stage base without plates are elite pole professionals that are extremely advanced and have been doing pole for years. They have a lot more strength, and a lot more controls of their momentum and body movement.
I would highly suggest that everyone, even the people I’ve seen use the stage frame without the plates, ALWAYS USE THE PLATES.

I believe the people I’ve seen use Xpole base frames without the plates did so because it was either 1- only $375 for the frame without the plates and $125 for the pole individually, as opposed to $700 for the full set with the plates; and 2- because those plates are heavy to transport. And so is the base frame and the pole. Leaving the plates out or at home makes it a lot lighter

I’ve seen people get the xstage base frame, insert the Xpole stage pole of their choice, and use it without base plates.

Im following along but Ive just been adding my photos to my yoga album here on SV. Im pretty impressed with the photos submissions ive seen on this thread for day 8. Everyone has been doing great in all their photos for the entire challenge. keep it up ladies. 🙂

That’s something I been working on recently too. Going back to basics for my less dominant side. Its amazing Im working ayisha and jazmine and bombs and scorpio-gemini switches and all on my Dom. But can’t do all the basic things yet on my less. Lol. Wow. I feel like Popye with one puffed up arm and one scrawney. Lol

I found the lymphal drainage technique my massage therapist suggested works at any stage of bruise. As I said the first time I tried it I had bruising for three weeks already. Some of it new and some of it old but just kept getting more in the same area. Very light touch is all that’s required. You can do it any time. 🙂

My massage therapist suggested lymphal drainage techniques. Running the fingers in “nerve strokes” over the top of the skin from center of bruise outwards like you are drawing rays if a sun.
*nerve stroke = light touch where fingers barely brush the skin. This trends to tickle. It causes nerve stimulation which allows for pushing off blood cells out of the area.
I had my entire left inner thigh completely covered in bruise one time for three weeks. Using this technique it was gone in three days.

I think using the VSP to parallel multiple videos/photos, or have one/few of each displayed together is probably the easiest thing Ive done. Its a very simple program to use, and maximizes view of things you want seen when there is a time limit on video time, such as on Instagram where each video clip is limited to about 15 seconds.
Thankfully SV doesnt have a required time limit for video postings.

Right now I have Windows Movie Maker. And on the Android I have VidStitch Pro. Only things Ive done with the WMM is change video orientation, add titles, and trim videos. With the VidStitch Pro app ive only parallelled two video screens side by side.

I haven’t seen any bad videos/clips. But there is a difference between a simple recording of a practice session and something that people have put together to make into an actual video.
Right now I simply post a trimmed direct recording of my practice.
I like watching both.

Its easy to get discouraged when we see others do things so effortlessness as we work hard to do the same or more basic things. But I found one thing that helps I’d to remember ALL people are on different levels of advancement at different times. And ALL people progress at different rates. This is why it’s important not to get into the habit of comparing our progress and skills to others, but simply look at others as inspiration and motivation.
*We also need to remember that every person who has learned a thing… Didn’t know it at one time. They had to work to learn it as well. And they are going to continue working to learn more, just as we will. Tis the journey of every person. 🙂

We get conscience and emotional promptings to guide us intuitively. If you feel you are overworking you probably are.
Pole sessions in the studio I go to are typically 75-90 minutes. They suggest a day of rest between workouts, like Veena. *Those are my aerobic, stretch/flex, and light pole activity days at home. Lol.
I don’t really do protein shakes or bars. Im more into some kind of meat afterwords. Haha. *sorry to all the vegetarians. And I try to take a nap prior to going to the studio on days I do. Otherwise I feel exhausted. A granola bar, tuna or pb&j sand which an hour before going to the studio usually help give a little protein boost.

In my state strip club rules say customers can NOT touch the dancers. The dancers have full control of what’s going on in the club for themselves in every aspect. And if they are uncomfortable they have the right to end the dance and walk away. But as I also said, it’s common in the area I worked on for women to be prostituting as well, so all the women there were pulling tricks on the side except for me (at the time I was dancing) because I disagree with the progression, and living far away was a benefit because there is very little exposure to prostitution where I lived.
