I’m on a strict budget. Your prices are totally reasonable. I just cannot spend money.

I have sent a rebuttal on their facebook page the other day. What a poorly written article about pole. lol. Skin infections.. I laughed so hard at that one. lol!

I'm jealous of all you ladies who have good relationships with your dad and support your pole dancing. You are so lucky!

But you ignore that rule and compete any ways because that makes no effing sense.. Like what does being an adult film actress have to with pole dancing?

I thought Olga was amazing! I love how with pole dancing, anyone from all walks of life and any style of dance can combine it with pole! I loved Olga’s style!

I think your concerns are very valid, AriFerarri. Most wives feel that way and it's totally normal. It doesn't make you a bitch.Societies double standard doesn't help either. Could perhaps you and your hubby talk about boundaries? Perhaps he can go but no touching is aloud what so ever? Your hubby is totally capable of telling a stripper, 'no don't touch me, no I don't want a lap dance. Please lap dance for my friend instead.' My hubby and I talk about boundaries quite often when something like this comes up. We talk about if different scenarios come up, how will he or I handle it so we are both on the same page. And yes I do agree with marriage is one big sacrifice. 🙂
I am one of those wives that doesn't care if my hubby goes to a strip club. Is that weird? Actually, I do care, I'll just be jealous that I couldn't go! I've encouraged my hubby to go to a bachelor party where they go to a strip club. I think he's only gone once without me. Then when he comes home I make him tell me all the details and everything that happened that night. I trust my hubby like how you trust yours. I know he isn't going to fall in love with a stripper, I know he isn't going to sleep with one.I think the only boundary he isn't allowed to do without is me get a lap dance. He can look but not touch unless I'm there to give the ok. :p Lap dances in Southern Ontario are not just little lap dances. The strippers take you to a private room and they pretty much rub one out for you. That is something that would bother me if he did that without me but I know he won't. He tells me my lap dances are better and prefers if I give him one. :p Hubby and I went to a strip club together for someone's bday once and we got a double lap dance together. lol. If he wants a lap dance, then I want one too. Fair is fair! lol. No we are not an open relationship, and we only got a lap dance from a stripper together once. It was a learning experience. We felt extremely guilty the next day even though our feelings were not hurt.
Sometimes on a drunken night out together I'll ask hubby if he wants to go check out some strippers and he's like, no I rather see you strip for me. Awwww. 🙂

I think I'm the only person in the world who has had a really bad experience with the Diva Cup. lol. I'm like.. still traumatized from this.. lol.
I followed the directions exactly but sadly Diva Cup failed me. 🙁
My first period using it, I ended up getting a massive internal infection that caused painful lesions on my cervix and had to go on antibiotics. The infection spread to my uterus and to this day my doc doesn't know the extent of the damage caused to me. We are still investigating and I am still waiting on my referral to a specialist. This may affect my fertility. GASP!
Not only that, I still have not recovered from this. I cannot wear tampons anymore. I used to before the Diva Cup but now it just hurts.
In my opinion, I think the Diva Cup is just not made for me. I think my vagina is too small and caused lots of friction and rubbing when I walked. I also have a tilted uterus too.
My doc thinks that because you can wear the cup for a long time that bacteria just built up and went into my cervix and uterus instead of allowing blood to flow out properly.
So I guess I am just one of those women who need to allow the blood to just flow out of me and sit around my cervix for 12 hours. :
And I'm sad about this because I really wanted to be able to never have to buy pads again and just use my Diva. Oh well. 🙁

I'm pretty flat and I pinch my nipples every time when I try this trick. lol

HAHAAH When I first learned of the Dangerious Brian trick, I read the name off of a leveled sheet at my pole studio. Now sometimes my brain mixes up letters and I misread them so the first time I started talking about this trick I was referring it to the Dangerious Brain too! LOL!!!
So any ways, this pic I posted of this trick I did.. would if be safe to say I may of made this trick up?

It’s a little different from the pixie or dangerous Brian. And yes this is dangerous because I almost fell on my head. I’m not using thighs to support myself. It’s a little in the foot and mainly in the top hand holding on.

Yes I was a long distance runner before pole. I can’t wait til the snow is gone so I can start running again. I think I let some of my cardio slip. But you gotta remember pole is like cardio too. Especially if you are just dancing around to a bunch of tunes. You can make pole very cardio too if you want to. If you are poling a lot and free styling for a few songs I would say that’s probably better than cardio??

MemberNovember 26, 2012 at 3:36 pm in reply to: Being called fat…by other “pole dancers”?!?!Wow what a B! I don't normally run into too many fat-shaming pole dancers and that makes me wonder if this person was a fake or logged on to someone else's facebook account just to start things. Regardless, yeah I'd delete this person and report them.
However fat-shaming in the pole community is not unheard of. I recently heard it happening and I hope I never hear of it happening again.
Your bodyfat/body shape does not determine your worth, pole skill level and strength. I know lots of women with a little more body fat than me and they are a hell of a lot stronger and better than me in pole dancing!
Not to go off topic or anything but… DID YOU KNOW… that being heavier or overweight when you first start pole dancing gives you an advantage over all the thin people? Um yeah I wish I was over weight when I started pole.
When you are over weight and beginning to learn pole, your muscles learn to lift you at the weight that you are. As you continue with pole you will eventually loose some weight (given you are eating properly because pole burns the best amount of calories). Your muscles will always remember lifting your heavy weight even after loosing weight therefor making you a stronger pole dancer for your new leaner size. Lighter weight girls have to work harder to build the musucle to be able to life heavier than they are. Get it? 🙂

MemberNovember 7, 2012 at 3:59 pm in reply to: Suvery of exotic dancers and educationI wasn't technically a stripper, but I did work as an adult performer/model for 6 years and a lot of things I did were comparable to stripping.
-What is your profession?
Special Educational Support Worker, and part time Pole Fitness Instructor.
-What is your level of education? (Are you still in school?)
I have a diploma in Social Work and Holistic Nutrition
-Why have you chosen to work as an exotic dancer?
I got into this line of work after College and after I had already landed my career. I was struggling financially (drowning in student and medical debt) and this was the only solution I could think of. I worked in this industry for 6 years. I'm glad I did it because I loved what I did and those were some of the best times of my life. I think a lot of why I chose that line of work was because I was rebelling against misogyny. I lived an oppressive life because I was female and I just wanted to come out of my shell and have fun and I did. Life's too short.
I have zero regrets. I never did anything I was uncomfortable with. I worked with some very professional and highly respected people. It doesn't bother me what people think of me if they find out. People are just so judgemental and cruel I don't bother to waste my time with them.

I'm embarrased to put my video up. 😛 It was probably my worst performance ever. lol! Had major sliding issues and couldn't grip the pole. Had very poor form, bad unpointed toes, missed important tricks. Oh well. lol.
