I'm also trying to get the BF to get his bike out more often w/me on the back.  I watch for road bumps, holes, etc, and 'post' thru them to gain thigh strength!  lol   hey… we all gotta start SOMEwhere. 🙂

Progress IS progress, and it's always at YOUR chsen speed!

You may see from my older posts (3 mos. or so is all I've been amember and 'poling'!) that I just stubbornly made up my mind to DO this.  It isn't easy (and yes.. THAT'S the fun of it!) because WHEN you accomplish something – it's MAJOR! 😉

    None of us learned to walk, or talk, or a hundred other things the EASY way.. there is no easy way in life – and for those that take the "easy road'… I am sad for them.;

In the infamous words of my beloved Nickleback:  "Don't take the Free Ride in Your Own Life – What's worth the prize is always worth the fight!  :):):):):):)   – (from "If Today Was Your Last Day) 😉

Best wishes in your 'climb' – and congrats on the realization of 'eating the elephant 'one bite at at ime'! 🙂

Insurance is ALWAYS worh it!  You never know what sort of shinanigans your clients will come up with to injure themselves, and IF they DO, and IF they get 'nasty' about it, you could be liable for 100's of times more $$ than the 2-600 per years.!!

When I was a Massage Therapist, there was a national group for us and we could get a million dollars of coverage for practically nothing.  Look for that sort of 'group' or National Association of ?? Belly Dancers, Dance Instructors, etc.; check out their 'benefits' and see if they offer a groupo coverage.. then .. Join it and GET it!

Best wishes on making your dreams come true!

L5 S1 degen. disc w/3 mm buldge.  Left Knee I refused replacement surgery on.  And.. generally old and beat up! LOL

I've felt a LOT better since the conditioning lessons, but took some time off for a diet.  Two weeks from now I'm starting again.  (Ugh) 🙂 🙂

Ya just gotta work around it all.  Bending my knee if my biggest problem – trying to think I'll EVER get some of the moves… just due to that.. but I have the pole to hold onto, a good imagination, and watching some other's videos to see what they've done helps! 🙂

Here's a pretty informative site for St. John's Wort:

Have you ever condisered St. John's Wort?  My mother and daughter both have (had)  anxiety issues (schitzophrenia, PTSD, or?? who knows.)  ANYWAY… do a little research, and maybe try some small doess.  It's herbal and pretty safe.  I hav a friend who has also used it and it makes him much more 'balanced' and funcitoning.

      Best wishes.

OMG!! I HATE f'ing Tornados… the town I live in was demolished in 1953 (year I was born) and kill 185? 220? ppl.

I'm so glad you're okay.  Yeah… I got a wind up radio in 1998 (Y2K), and in '94 spent a night in the creek behind our house 6 miles south of Lancaster, Tx the night half of IT got blown away.

Thanks for such a good reminder to pack the Bugout Bag!

I saw the Mass. tornados on the news.  You guys NEVER have those up there (extremely rare, right?)  It's a weekly occurance in Texas.. Usually.

I hate to start thinking 2012, Mayan/Bible prophecy… but Dang.. when you have a year like THIS one???

GLAD YOU'RE okay.. LEt us know if you need anything.. and on a lighter note:

Whooo Hooo.. Your POLE is OKAY! 😉

Wow.. what a list of tunes!!! 🙂  Sometimes you just have to find what 'moves' you, and do it in 'half time'. 😉

As a newbie to 'dance' of this sort, I'm finding all the songs I liked before make me just want to bump, grind and bounce. lol… so .. I started doing them slower.  I noticed a lot of polers doing this too.  Just my 2 cents. lol

Arthritis.. I've got PLENTY in lots of places – and I have to say it has only IMPROVED with this workout. 😉

Perhaps it is just coincidence that you're getting a little bit AND happen to be poling..( OR.. yes, you could be doing something that aggrivates it?  Someone more experienced w/pole will have to tell you that 😉 🙂

I argued for YEARS that exercise helps arthritis because I could never get to the point of DOING any thing; but now that I have Veena's lessons… I feel 100% better.  In fact… the last 3-4 weeks since I've been sitting out due to diet; I feel worse again.. lol.  Can't wait to get re-started in a couple of weeks. :):)

Count me in!  This has been an irritant since I joined 3 mos. ago!  🙁

When I Do hit 'pause'.. it just ignores me.  Nothing loads ahead and I have a killer fast internet connection, so I'm NOT laying the blame there. 🙂

I really WOULD like to watch more of the videos, but it so irritating, I've just given up.
