I have put up and taken down many xpoles b4, and so has my bf. When we called and told them what was happening, they kept saying it was user error and that i was doing it wrong. I told them i have experience putting them up and down. Nobody straight up called me an idiot, but by repeatedly telling me i was doing it wrong sure made me feel like one. They asked if i watched the installation video, and i told them yes, and that i also read the directions to which they replied "oh you cant go by the directions." They shouldnt be in the box then if they are wrong. If they have such great customer service, why are they setting us up with bad directions? Remove the incorrect directions from the box. That doesnt cost $$ to do.

I asked for the technician to come out, but that is not something they offer because "it is a liability" for them. And no, they didnt charge for him to come. He was only allowed to put up 1 or 2 poles, basically to "show us how to do it."

I dont think that Xpole actually purposely changed their design because xpole is just the distributor, but i do think their MANUFACTURER is being shady and making a cheaper product. Maybe the 3 poles you got are fine, and maybe i just had a bad batch, but bottom line, there should be a quality control check. They are made in china and you can get away with anything there. If the actual xpole technician put them up and didnt see a problem until i pointed it out, how is any woman that puts them up gonna know? The metal shouldnt be THAT THIN, that soon as u tighten the xjoint it flares out. Im pretty sure that their technician didnt "overtighten" or have "user error" while putting it up. The poles were just defective.

Maybe they need to come up with a whole new design that doesnt involve the xjoint since there are TONS of people that keep having issues with it.

The people at Xpole are generally really nice, and they do alot for the community by sponsoring women, and events. The thing is though, i could have gotten hurt, which means someone else could get hurt too. I dont want that to happen. Pole fitness is super serious. Everyone made a big stink when platinum stages had an issue with their "star stand alone" pole, yet when the xpoles continuously have problems with the joints for soooo many people, no one cares?? All i see is people defending xpole, instead of caring about one anothers safety.

@sensualscimitar- i have never tried a lil mynx pole, but i just got 6 platinum stage permanent poles for my studio, and so far so good. i even got 2 brass, and i love them! im very sweaty, so it helps that the pole is a lil stickier.

Hi there. I doubt that you and all your friends were doing it wrong. I recently had a problem and was told the same thing. However, after examining my brand new xpert, compared to the old one i had (top loading) there was a huge difference. Basically the pole is so much thinner, soon as u tighten the xjoint, the edges started to flare out. The xjoint doesnt fit in the little groove properly. The groove is not as deep, leaving tons of room for error. Believe me, i didnt over tighten it. I had the xpole technician come and do it since i was apparantly so dumb and couldnt do it right. The same thing happened. The new models are flawed, bottom line! I dont care which pole celebrity is endorsing xpole, the latest shipment should be recalled!!

U could be having an allergic reaction to the lead in the chrome pole. When your pores are open, you are really susceptible to getting a reaction from the lead,so if you get sweaty, watch out.

I got brass poles from platinum stages, and they said to use windex, not rubbing alcohol. Not sure about the xpoles though

I am the owner of the studio that LIZ SAVAGE above mentioned. It was a really really scary situation. I took the poles back to X-Pole and got a refund. They have always had great customer service. I talked to them for a while about all the problems with the new xpoles, including things i have seen mentioned on this forum. They noted everyyything and will be sending it off to the head of the company to see how they can better the product. They were genuinely concerned and i know that they will do their best to fix the problems. I kept saying that the pole was cheaper quality, and they were insisting that they arent. What i think is happening is their manufacturer in CHINA is making the poles cheaper quality, and since there isnt a quality control check, xpole doesnt even know it!!! I definitely got a bad batch of poles, no doubt, and i blame the manufacturer. The weight of the pole pieces are much lighter, and they are thinner than the old poles, so when u tighten the xjoint its literally making the metal flare out and get bumpy.

I think the xpoles are great for at home. I love the Kendra pole. However, for heights over 11'10, i wouldnt recommend it.

I am going to get permanent mounted platinum stage poles now.

I can tell that the new xpoles are 100% NOT the same quality as they used to be. The old ones were heavier. I put together a pole with my friends yesterday and i did a few fireman spins, and it literally warped out. THE METAL IS DAMAGED!!!! I called and they said that i overtightened the x-joint, and told me they will replace the piece. Im just confused as to how tight you are supposed to make the x-joint. If its not tight enough, it will get f'd up, but if its too tight, now the poles get warped? wtf?! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif

Yes then u need an LLC. Go to the IRS website and apply for your EIN. Its easy. You dont have to use legal zoom or anything…most people dont know that and end up paying when they dont need to.

LLC is better than a sole prop because if someone decides to sue, they can sue only your company, and not take away your own personal stuff. If you have a sole prop, someone can sue and end up taking your home/car etc.

    http://www.dancestudioinsurance.com

they insure pole dancing for around $450-$500 a year. I suggest calling them. Tell them Beauty In Motion Fitness referred you. Its the only insurance i found that covers pole. Its been a really big hassle.

What empryme said above is correct.

I just ordered a full body cleanse from Blessed Herbs yesterday. It was $300, so i hope it works! I am doing it to feel better, and if i lose weight that would be nice, but its not the main reason for it. Ive read alot of good things about it and its supposedly the best on the market. I will let u know how it goes.

  • You girls should try doing a candida cleanse…it will clean all the yeast out of you…go to a health store like vitamin shoppe/gnc or a health food store like Whole Foods and pick it up…its about $30 and you do it for 2 weeks.

Also, you have got to make sure that your mans hands are clean!! If he has dirt under his fingernails you will get infected!!!

ive been on both, and i think the Lite one is taller, but not 100% sure. Any free standing poles feel kind of wobbly. Its just takes some getting used to.

BeSpun is one of the best schools and the teachers arent certified, and some of the best pole dancers/champions travel the world doing workshops. I dont think it should be mandatory to be certified, but of course it doesnt hurt.

I feel like the spinning xpole is sooooo much better than the PS spinning pole. Its much smoother and goes faster.
