Mine did the same thing. I also didn’t feel as safe when I loosened it. I ended up putting it back to static and being frustrated.

I’m going to stay out of my pole room for as long as it takes. I just start to feel sad when I hear a song I want to dance to….

The doctor just said physical therapy and come back in 4 weeks. Dumb question, but where does one find a compression sleeve?

I was trying some one handed spinny thing I saw dirdy birdy do. I did go to an orthopedic urgent care. The doctor was amused by how I got my injury. It was clear he could not separate pole dancing from the stereotype. He said I had a ulnar nerve subluxation….whatever that means. Almost 5 days later, it still feels bad. Feels like someone ripped all the veins and tendons out of my wrist. Even when I barely move, my hand just feels off. I’m so scared of not being able to dance again. I’ve been going through a lot lately and pole dance was really helping me.

He’s not interested so much in the dancing part vs the strength building.

Do you intend to compete? If so, I probably wouldn’t get used to a smaller pole. That being said, I love my 40 and if I had all the money in the world I’d buy another 40 and put my 45 in another room.

How often should one stretch to really progress and not get injured?

I so needed to read this. I relate to both Milla and azblanco. You’re not alone. I’m lost in all aspects. Mental, physical, spiritual…you name it. Interesting what your therapist said azblanco….could you elaborate on what to do with the negative self talk? I never thought about liking to do it before. I’m really guilty of this but to the outside world I had it all. (Had* because my husband just left me)

Ease back into it if for no other reason than to reduce the risk of injury.

Thank you for all the responses! I apologize for not being present on this thread. My husband surprised me by not coming home from a guys night until the next day and then asking for a divorce. I’m a little shell shocked. I won’t be getting a floor any time soon. I’ll just be figuring out how to afford to live my life.

Starting with day 1 today. October 1st. Hopefully the numbers lining up with the calendar will help.

I was just in Vegas two weeks ago. The male pole dancer is still in it. Pretty awesome! Everything that was said above. You wouldn’t go to Zumanity if you’re just looking for pole though. It’s….different. For non pole dance but still dance and a good time, Jabbawockeez was great.

So wait what day are we on? I’m starting late but I’m going to catch up. My motivation for everything has been complete crap and even if I don’t get stronger at least I can say I completed something.

I have 45 TG and I just got a 40 TG. Loved the 45. Pretty sure I’m gonna love the 40 but I cut my hand on our veggie slicer the same weekend I got the new 40 so I haven’t had much practice on it. Climbing wasn’t really any harder with less leg/pole surface area. For reference I’m 5’3″.

Perhaps a better question is why are they different? Is the 2014 superior to its predecessors?

The only 40mm they have available right now is chrome. I’m attempting to be patient but it’s not working 🙂

I live in Ohio and have fairly dry skin. I have a 45 tg and I really like it. Depending on the weather I still slip, but I also haven’t been practicing very often recently so I’m probably just weak. I’m between a 40mm brass or tg for my second one if they ever become available.

Will there be 40mm poles and other finishes other than chrome?
