Getting a new xjoint shipped to me!
-
Looks like I have overtightened an xjoint..it’s not in the pole tho..it’s just a single xjoint. I knew something was rong when I couldnt get it to connect pole A and B so I took it out.I wanted to really tighten them so they woud not rotate…and this is what happened! I went back and forth alternating tightening as well just like video. Now I cant get it to loosen so Im going to try the lubricant. Hubby cant get it loose with his “manly tools” either. Ive only had it up once and was trying to put it back together.

MemberFebruary 17, 2014 at 9:59 pm in reply to: Broken toe — again — do not want to be this fragile!I am 53 and this past sept I found out that the top of my foot was broken! Not sure how it happened but I wonder if it was simply from learning to climb? It was very painful and Im overly careful now. In class I use little reinforcements in my shoes that I wear now (ballet or thin jazz shoes) just for extra protection on the top of my foot.
I try to remember to take calcium and vitamin D more now and it did set me back quite a bit. DR. did recommend testing for osteo if it happened again. Even if that is the case, there are treatments for that as well. I was feeling sorry for myself not being able to go to class etc and my daughter said, “Well, if u think that a few little broken bones on the top of your foot is going to be your excuse to give up pole, get over it and think again”. (Funny how kids use “what they have heard” and use it against you lol). -
That is cute!

I thought of that too Lyme…they are pretty big aren’t they? Seems like it would def be easier tho..

I guess I need someone else to help hold in place while i crank it to the ceiling becuz it’s moving all over the place..Im just weak I guess lol. By the time I get it to the ceiling I fear I have missed the stud. Iknow it just takes practice tho ( I hope)

Not sure if u got the problem fixed but some on this site have used a thin piece of wood between mount and ceiling and that fixed the problem.

That was nice…loved the song too.

Discount dance supply is very reasonable…I buy the high-waisted shorts there but they have others as well. Great prices.

Instead of buying 2 poles I’d get the one that does both. U won’t be sorry! Which brand are u leaning towards? I was in your shoes once.

MemberFebruary 13, 2014 at 8:13 am in reply to: Pole Hold – My Personal Holy Grail of the MomentThis is prob the only trick lol that I can do. Try sitting up really straight as if someone is pulling your head up. That worked for me and I also held on with my foot…sort of wrapped it/curved it around the pole with the top of my foot touching pole.

Thank you! I like the peacock skirt…

I got the 45 and it worked! They ssid sometimes you have to do something a bit different just to fix the problem that may not be stated on the video. 🙂

Or if it has a tie, it’s not a wrap around…just have to pull the tie or pull the snap and it’s off. Still looking….
