I'm 33 now.... I haven't poled in way too many years but the pole got put back up a few weeks ago. I've gained a lot of weight and in a way that is keeping me from wanting to try to lose it, which is silly and sabotaging. My almost 6 year old son ADORES my pole. He remembers it from when he was young and on spin mode he is king. It is amazing to watch. I'm hoping to get my butt back on it. Restarting from the beginning. I no longer have unrealistic hopes of getting much further, because I know myself, I know I won't. I miss it though. I miss dancing both bellydance and pole dance. While my kid is in school I need to divide my time between dance, art, writing, and housework. Maybe just putting this up here will motivate me. -29 yr old mom of a 1 year old boy trying to get back into pole dance for fitness. My youtube pole videos are very old and buried in baby videos. Sort them from oldest to newest and you might see some pole dancing Hahaha I started getting on the pole a little more often and I am pretty strong now, stronger than ever. It's all that redoing the beginner stuff that does it. Oh and carrying around a nearly 30 pound baby. :) It is just frustrating since I have had my pole for 4 years now. I could have been so much more advanced by now if lots of life things hadn't happened. But that's ok. It is fun at any level! I do hope to advance far beyond my current level, if I can get a handle on the sweaty hands syndrome that plagues me.
