I have the origianl X Pole (the screw together) and I was told that they will continue to sell extensions and replacement parts for them.  I am not sure how the 2 metals would react to each other, but as far as ordering parts, you should still be able to get them.  Mine is about 3 or 4 years old and I have continued to get new extensions.  Good luck!  Hope it helps!

  • @chumpchkin- AWESOME!  They are such odd songs, but so much fun!  "Still Alive" is one of my, "I just want to dance" songs.  Its not sexy, I dont attempt a lot of advanced tricks (advanced for me that is), I just dance and have fun!!!

  • One- I love that song!  I bought the soundtrack because of it!

Two- What Lyme said!  You can dance to anything you want.  One of my favorite songs to free dance to is "Still Alive" from the video game Portal.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y6ljFaKRTrI

    Dance to whatever you enjoy!!!!

Not having used a SS pole, I cant really compare the 2 in terms of grip.  I can say that i have had my Chrome X Pert for over 3 years and it shows very little ware.  There are a few very little scratches but it has not altered the grip nor are they flaking or peeling.  I have been very happy with the longevity and quality of my pole.  If it helps any, LiL Mynx offers a SS for a really good price.  Hope it helps!

I grew up in River Ridge but we are working on buying a condo in the Quarter or CBD at the moment.  If that works out, we will be down a lot more often!

azblanco- That is so cool!  I grew up in NOLA!  Lived there for 15 years!  Crazy!  Best city in the world (minus the humidity).  We are down there all the time.

Really good question! I would kind of like to know as well.  Not because I am good at video editing, but because I am not very good at pole dance and want to edit some of my more epic fails!  Maybe I could save them and put together a "blooper reel".  🙂

The multi angle filming does sound really cool!  You should post some of your videos even if it is not for a Challenge Video!

Very well put!  You worded many peoples feeling on pole danceing (mine included) perfectly!  Pole dance is an amazing work out that has done wonderful things for womens bodies and their self esteem.  Keep us posted on any new activity!  I would hope he would print some sort of appology or something, but you never know with someone of his low intellegence level.

We always used your frist pet and the street you grew up on.  Everyone's always came out hilarious except mine.  Oddly enough I liked it and it is what I use!  I had a terrier named "Kiki" and I grew up on "Generes Ave."……….. Hence, Kiki Generes!

Absolutely!  I live in Birmingham AL now but I head over that way regularly!  When you get your studio up and running you will have to let me know its name.  I have friends in Shreveport and will have to send them your way!  🙂

Cacique!  That is all I can say.  They go from 36-48 C-H.  Their sports bras max out at a DD or DDD but they are GREAT!  I am a 38F so I toally feel your pain!  They do have some that have underwired and they put them out in fun colors a couple of times a year!  Good Luck! 🙂

I have used something around rather than under the pole.  Get a large piece of carpet or heavy fabric and cut a hole in the center.  After you place the base of your pole where you want it, drop the carpet down over it.  Then put the pole up as usual. I would suggest either some heavy double sided tape or some skid proof mats under it so it does not bunch or slide!  Hope it helps!  Good Luck!

I've been off the pole for awhile but I HAVE to jump back on for this one!  I cant decide which song I want to do!

-Howl- Florence and the Machine (season 3 of the Tudors)

-Woke up This Morning- AL3- The Sopranos

    -The Mad Men theme Song

    So many choices!!!!!

I like the idea of a mixed dance using the pole. So you would have pole ballet, pole tap, pole jazz etc. It would be fun and let people use any other dance experience they have! I would love to see some of the other dance styles people would mix in!

Ive seen several studios that have pole dancer silhouettes painted onto the walls! It looks so cool! Paint the walls a color you like then trace the silhouettes onto the walls and paint with black paint! It looks really neat if you paint them onto either side of your pole so that when you are dancing you are in between them! Good Luck! Post pics of whatever you decide to do!

It depends on what kind you are thinking on getting. Saying that you want something to help you with pointing makes me think you want pointe shoes. I would highly reccomend AGAINST that unless you have previous pointe experience. You can really hurt your feet (or worse! ) if you dont know what you are doing, dont have the proper muscle strength or get a poorly fit pair! That being said regualr ballet slippers would give you a nice pivot on the floor and control the sweaty floor issue! Another option would be a lyrical sandal. It only covers the ball of your foot and will also help pivot but give you a bit more grip than bare sweaty feet!
These are some really cute lyrical sandals! They even come in fun colors!

    I hope this helped!

Kinda odd question (and probably a bit stupid LoL) but do you have to be good to post a challenge video? I mean is suposed to be "Look how awesome I am! I am the best!" because if thats the case I may wait a few months (or years LoL). I really dont want to look like a complete idiot but I want to put up some vids for constructive criticism and to track my progress! Thanks in advance!

I also ditto Skittles question! Is spinning "cheating"? LoL!
