yes amcut, pole waxers university & hardcore poles are actually owned by the same people & in the same building. they are sooo nice over there! my mom & i are going to take a class over there soon because she is getting a pole too!

&& i have good news about my pole! it was only moving because one of the screws had snapped. my dad came over to help me take it down and measure how much space was between the pole & the ceiling, i put all of my weight on it & he was in a chair beside the pole so he could get an accurate measurement & he couldn’t get the little metal tip on the tape measure between to pole & the ceiling https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif we were going to take it down to try to figure out the problem & the first screw we touched was actually broken https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_surprised.gif it was like 1/4 inch long, lol! so he put a different (stronger) kind of screw in & it is tight again https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif so i am going to go pole in a few, yay!!!!!!

oh & my boyfriend is an idiot! lol! he said it was moving away from the ceiling at least 1/8 – 1/4 inch… more like 1/60 inch! duh!

hardcore poles messaged me back last night & said they would make a thicker base plate for me. & since i am going to drive my pole over there for them to "fix" it they are going to let me join in on a lesson for free while i wait for my new base plate to be put on my pole https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif i am about 15 miles from their studio so it’s really no trouble at all. i have to wait until saturday though, they are making the base plate for me for free too so i don’t mind at all! i was thinking i would have to pay for new parts or buy a rug or something so i am really happy! && i think i am going to order the art of pole set today too! i had the money saved up & ready to order on monday & i was going to order it on tuesday but when my pole had suddenly settled i held off on ordering the DVD set incase i had to spend that money on a part. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_colors.gif needless to say i am a very happy girl this morning! && once again the customer service at hardcore poles has gone far beyond my expectations https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_thumright.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_thumleft.gif

i don’t think so because there is a gap between the pole & the ceiling & the pole. i messaged the place i got my pole from so i am hoping they will have a suggestion. when i bought it they told "if anything like that happens to give them a call because there are some things they can do to fix it" so i am going to cll them when i leave my office in a few if i have not received a message back by then. i’ll keep y’all updated so if anyone else has the same problem they can see how to fix it too!

Yea, I’d say unscrew it take it down and then put a rug under the pole the same thickness that you have squished the carpet by, and then reinstall the pole.

Ok, I know what’s goin’ On now https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif it’s pushed down to the carpet pad for sure! My boyfriend stood back & looked @ it while I put weight on it & he said it was being pulled down into the carpet about 1/8 of an inch! So what do I do to fix that with a permanent pole? Is there some type of pad or something I can put between the pole & the ceiling (or the floor) to make it have a tighter fit? I’m gonna call hardcore poles tomorrow & ask them what to do

yes it is a permanent pole from hardcore poles. it doesn’t move much at all but i don’t want to break anything (like me, lol) so i am waiting for suggestions on how to fix it before i pole again

i love halloween! i am looking at several costumes already https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif i really like one of the alice in wonderland "magic mushroom" costumes & also love one that is a sexy bank robber https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif but i have like 7 that i am picking from so far, lol! a lot of the online stores are just now getting their 2009n costumes in so pretty much every time i look i find another one that i love! my parents always have a big costume party for halloween so i always start looking a few months ahead of time.

OMG! yes! it is very hard! i have been poling for about a month & it has gotten easier but i can still only do 4 spins. i can sit on the pole too && i climbed it ONE time, lol! so you are not alone. the first week in started poling i would do it for a little while & after i was done i would take a shower & pretty much go to bed… it was about 8pm when i went to sleep every night that week, lol! it takes a LOT out of you & it will exhaust you. & you will get your form soon too! even if you only have "one move" you can practice it going both directions & make it look good before you move on 😀

lol, i climbed it on monday, but yesterday i couldn’t do it https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif i have noticed, i usually get "weak" the day after i try new stuff so i kinda expected that. my hands/knuckles are still REALLY sore so i may have to wait until tomorrow to try again. i don’t want to over do it like i did my 1st week lol! that week i poled 2 hours everyday & i was exhausted, achey & bruised up for the whole next week, lol!

i got a bad reaction from my boyfriend at first, something like "why do you want to be a stripper?" & the other comment he made was something to the effect of me acting like a whore. now that i have my pole he sees that it really is a great workout & is supportive https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_razz.gif

now, nobody except for my boyfriend has been to my house since i got my pole & it is in the formal living room (turned pole room) which is right by my front door… with no way to close that room off,lol! i am sure when my boyfriends family comes over they are gonna have some things to say about it, his mom & i have "bumped heads" in the past. i almost want to invite them over to see what kind of smart ass comments they have about my new found fun (insert evil grin here) but i won’t. i also wonder what my grandparents will say when they come into town at the end of the month, they are usually pretty understanding & supportive of things i choose to do so i don’t think they will have anything bad to say about it.

find a joist!! even if you have to move furniture! you can get hurt, damage your house (rip open the ceiling, bust out a window if its close, break furniture…..) & its just not worth it to not find a joist! you will be better off shifting a room around a little bit rather than getting a broken bone, you wouldn’t be able to pole then & damages to your house could be very costly!
