Chemgoddess mentioned the acidity issue. Could you maybe research ways to reduce acidity in the body to minimize the reaction with the pole?

Oh, and I can soooo relate to the ample booty situation, too;) Finding the right shorts to fit and not flash my poor children, is not easy:) So far, I’ve gone the cheap route and picked up almost every style of boy short at Walmart and a discount store in Canada called Giant tiger ( believe it or not, those fit pretty good!) I’m thinking I may have to spend a little extra cash and buy some off Bad Kitty or some other pole dance site. What type shorts do you use?

So….just a little update. Was down for a few days, but managed to pole yesterday early afternoon. It was a lot of free flow, and my sister even came by to join the fun! Did TONS of stretching as I was having a lot of hip/ glute and low back pain due to endometriosis ( it was a wicked month!) Today, I’ll do a bit of low body conditioning, most likely in the evening. I think I’ll start tracking my days down in my planner to help me stay on track, just like I do with everything else;)

Ambience, hope you’re finding a good time for you to do your thing on the pole too!:)

Hey there. I’m the new kid on the block:) Sounds like you’ve got some challenges but are very determined:) Like that you physically plan out your workouts. Seems like it would help out alot.

Ambience, I was able to pole this morning, around 10 am, since I had late classes today. It was delicious! Had sexy heels on and everything :)Unfortunately, was only able to manage it because my husband took the kids into school today( he’s home on Fridays). But, I’ll take what I can get! I’m coming up on my winter break this week, so I’ll let you know how late mornings go for poling. Hopefully, my body can learn to get into the rhythm

Oh, and thanks for letting me know I’m not alone in this! We really do the best we can with what we’ve got, and I’m so blessed to have a a family that supports what I do 🙂

Thanks for all the responses All gold, Veena, and Meggie! I will have to really take into consideration which is an easier time for me to pole. I’m not much of a morning person, never have been, and sleep apnea makes it worse. So, getting up before my kids ( which would be 6 am), doesn’t seem doable for me. Right now, kicking them out of the room for an hour in the early evening, when I have the most energy, seems to be working Ok. But,I find it hard to feel creative when I’m distracted by their noises in the other rooms. Doing my conditioning would work better then. So, maybe, I’ll save the creative flow times for when I’m home alone, or wake up to it like you suggested. I could see that putting a smile on my face and helping me shake away the sleep;)

Sorry. Never had an implant put in so can’t speak from experience. I think it’s best to speak to your healthcare provider and let them know how you plan on using your arm in every day life. After that, you may decide to go with a contraception that better suits your needs.

Just discovered Kryptic Minds. Honestly, love most of their songs and have been playing them constantly. Bonobo was another one I discovered while looking up some Kryptic stuff. While not dub step, IMO, it’s some great trip hop worth listening to 😉

Hi Gizy! I’m super new to pole (only a couple of weeks). I live in Canada, so I know COLD! Today was about -6 and yes, it felt warm;) As far as poles, I just bought a chrome Xpole. I have noticed on our much colder days, I need to warm up more, as well as allow the room and pole to warm up. Also, I tried a trick I learned from some of the ladies on here, shave gel. Just a bit goes a long way. Seems to help when the metal just won’t heat up 🙂

I bought mine directly from Xpole about 2 weeks ago, and it was $395 Canadian, including shipping and taxes. I live in Ontario.

Thanks! Your videos look very useful. I’ll be doing some of those tomorrow. Got on my pole tonight to work out some sciatica pain and ended up playing away :)It’s very easy to get carried away, wow..

Thanks for the warm welcome, Veena! I’m more of a social/street dancer but love to watch others do the ballroom moves :)Been looking through your lessons for a couple of days but been so busy to actually dip into them. Any video suggestions for me? I can already do basic spins, climbs. Really need to improve core and lower body as I’m crazy flexible from dance, which often results in injury. Thanks!
