PoleFitMom so where the center of the mount (where the pole came down from off the 2X6) was between the two joist and not directly under one? How many screws did you use to mount the 2X6?

I know if I had the dome top on a flat ceiling I’d want it immediately under the joist, just wanting to know if the ceiling mount being on a 2X4/2X6 across joist needs to be positioned the same or if it can be between?
