charley you’ll be there friday night too won’t you? I’m so excited. I was bummed I couldn’t go to Pittsburgh when she was there, but my husband had bought me awesome seats to see wicked for mothers day and there wasn’t enough drive time to get back.

I am glad she said she didn’t do anything wrong and was unapologetic.
The Stripper 101 class is touted as "learn to dance like a stripper" but once you get there, they do talk about whata workout it is. Everyone is told to wear work out gear like Rima was wearing the picture and its just a fun time. Stripping isn’t taught but pole tricks are…some even inverting – so I have issues with the cirriculoum https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif
It’s a really good experience for women, especially those who might not know a lot about exotic dancing/dancers and pole work. The dancers are really nice and helpful, they encourage the girls and make them feel as sexy as strippers https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif It’s an opportunity for women to visit a strip club without the presence of men and to see the dancers as other women and teachers rather than the sterotypes.
I had a great time and learned Shadows signature spin…I even blogged about it here.

Having spent 5 years in radio – you want to play things up like Stripper 101 and make them sound dirty, that’s how you get interest and generate "theater of the mind" as an old teacher once told me. Having spent 3 years pole dancing I can say that I thought outside of teaching newbies to invert on spinny poles, the event was tasteful and empowering and everyone stayed clothed.

I’m doing the Inverts Plus package…I thought about doing the whole day but I have to "work" at the studio in the morning and help get everyhing organized.

The $225 covers all of the classes and the Friday pole jam.

ha! No. I have a pole room so unless he’s working in his office he never sees me practice. He will watch the occasional body wave or booty wiggle but he doesn’t have a lot of interest.
I have to give him credit though, he watches new moves, gets excited enough for me and will watch my videos and point out how i have gotten smoother.

can you do all the intermediat moves on your weak side? That’s a good way to transition into harder levels.
Are you inverting? A good core conditioner I like is dead lift choppers legs straight up and over.
