I typically do a few things, and if I'm really into a song a full freestyle. If no one is tipping the stage because I refuse to shake my ass, booty pop, or wiggle my feet back and forth to make my ass billow, I will sit on stage with my arms crossed or stretch to let people know I'm bored.

I'm not afraid to talk shit back to customers. I had a group of girls come in and start talking shit about girls on stage, so I whenever that happens I drop by with a group of applications. "Oh, so you can sit here and make fun of the girls, but you wouldn't even try to get hired here. It's so easy, go ahead. Go on stage. Manager already said it was okay. No? You don't want to? Didn't think so."

I make sure to slam my heels a few times to let people know I'm not only booty popping and sitting there and looking pretty. But sometimes that doesn't work. Occasionally, I'll have a smart ass yell something like, "You're going to hurt yourself" or "You need to calm down on that pole." To which I reply something along the lines of, "sorry, it's really hard to hear you with the d*** in your mouth." I actually love when people heckle me; gives me a reason to be a bitch to someone without giving a crap about money they're giving me. About 80% of the time another customer sees what's going on and buys pity dances anyway 🙂

Are you going to be working at the Flame? The girls there are super nice, don't worry about it. I recommend getting a girl who is in the industry to give you a lapdance, or going out with friends to a club and getting a few so you know what it's like. I tried learning by myself and teaching myself, and after I got a few from girls and understood what they were doing, my money pretty much trippled.

Generally, on your first day/week/month you can spend about 4 songs talking to people and they will buy a dance 99% of the time. As time goes on, you can reduce that to three, then two. Watch out for managers, never go anywhere with a customer, and don't be afraid to be a bitch–some guys are into that sort of thing. Don't stack dances more than $20 at a time. If someone gets a dance, and wants you to keep going for 10 dances, they have to show the money first. It's better to possibly offend someone who might have $200 than work for someone who doesn't even have $10

🙂 I'm in the north side of the valley, but I've been thinking about working east valley for a while. Let me know how that goes.

@Frenchhorndiva I didn't like the way it looked so painful, but then I saw a really nice variation that Felix did that looked a lot more natural and graceful

It's more about middle splits than a strong straddle. And the pole is lower down on the back.

I think superman is ugly. I love superpain though, and Marlo’s superman variations. I think teddy is ugly, but love Natasha’s and Nadia’s variation. I have learned if there is a move I think is ugly (Jasmine) there is a variation that is beautiful (Marley). So now I learn everything 🙂

I was told you should learn this move aerially and never kick up. When I learned it, I was taught to go from a climb to leaning forward around the pole (as if you're about to go into twisted ballerina. Getting your head as far below your butt as possible is key. Then you armpit grip and lift into brass monkey. It sounds really simple, but took a lot of practice for me to even get my legs off the pole. I gave up on this move and am working on conditioning, it's a lot harder than people making it look!

I use a stability board always. It does help distribute pressure. I suggest an inch thick.

a lot of people get their stage poles from craigslist. Studios that close sell their poles here or Craigslist. I bought my chrome x-pole via craigslist for $200 and I was able to inspect it and play on it to make sure it was legit (as opposed to buying used here or eBay). If you have a smart phone the craigslist app will update you whenever someone posts something new in your area.

if the finish you want isn’t listed, I know you can use the “contact us” at the bottom of the page to place an order through Veena. For instance, I will eventually order a brass 45 through the contact us option because it isn’t in the default options.

allegra, bendy diva dive, and batwing. Keem looks impressive but is really easy. I also love Marlo’s superman variation. The on top leg in superman actually goes behind her. Kinda like a pole split facing toward the floor but the bottom leg is passe’d. a
Titanic with the feet off the pole is also awesome 🙂

I prefer lap dances for someone over apole dance. But I also know what I’m doing. If I had a guy for Valentine’s, I would definitely do half pole half layup dance 🙂 you know. and stuff later

I have dry, but sweaty hands and TG is the worst finish ever for me. Better than stainless, but worse than chrome. It really does come down to body chemistry. If you can't try it, don't buy it.

Ido Portal wrote about taking workshops when he was training. He said he would cut out all entertainment (drinking, movies, clothing, eating out) to go to work shops. I don’t know how right pursed you are, so I couldn’t say if/what to cut out. But I would sacrifice my cat to take a work shop with her.

How did they trace it back to her? Out of curiosity? I would hate to have a bunch of people mad at her if it's not 100% definitely her.

Has anyone informed video owners? Asking money for videos you do not have copyright over is pretty illegal.

My first pole class I was a 20 year old next to a 40 year old and I was super initimidated. She could invert her first day @_@ I don't really think age or weight have anything to do with how pole makes you feel. If it made you feel awesome, then who cares about how someone looks. I'm young, so I can eat whatever I want and have natural flexibility for a while….but in my opinion, that just makes what women who are older than me who can do the same things I can do so much more impressive! Karol Helms has two decades on me and she'd kick my ass in a pole freestyle, no contest! And strength and weight loss come in time to each of us. I've lost about 3 inches of fat everywhere on my body since I started poling. My weight hasn't changed, but I'm happy and feel awesome, and you should too 🙂 Definitely give it another shot, and try to bring a few friends if you feel like you're the odd girl out.

I was under the impression that sm to flag was fonji and then adding the reverse made it “kamikaze”. But whenever I say kamikaze people just stare at me :/

I have some at home for when I make masks. I’ll try it, never thought to put it on hair.

I was trying aspirin as well because fixing it isn’t the issue. I just wanted to know if there was prevention or actingr

I used to dance in thigh highs and never had an issue. they were hot temperature wise, but the club bbeing so cold ironed that out.If I had to pick one pair of boots it would be the calf high pleasers. I have had them in regular pleather and they were comfy…but the heel broke on me after about eight months. I have consideredbuyingthe shiny vinyl calf high ones, but I am finding the quality of pleasers vinyl has gone way down over the years. Ripping in three half hour pole sessions is not acceptable

I pole in a garage in Phoenix. I can only really pole late at night or really early in the mornings in the summer. I haven't had a problem with my ceiling, I have just a standard static x-pole with tension. Just make sure you have a stability board between you and the ceiling. As far as cooling goes, good luck. My garage does NOT have outlets, so no fan. But if you can find one with outlets, a fan should do fine (Assuming you don't have to pole in 117 degree weather like I do). I know girls also use space heaters and do warm up floorwork and cheorography to get their basements warm in the winter, so I assume it's the same for garages.
