I stopped a soon as I found out, but that’s me, and actually while I still did floor work and some very very light dance occasionally, I basically stopped any real advancement or strain. If you are in very good shape, I don’t see why you couldn’t continue with some (emphasis on some) basic stuff at home. just be Uber super careful! Talk to your doctor and all that jazz 😉

I rarely wash my hair too! people think I am crazy (or worse… Gross) but I have gorgeous hair! Nice curls, goes nice and flat when I want, pretty much any style I want, its shiny but never greasy, and so silky. I only have to wash when I do something really jazzy with products (which I try to avoid)

On the cutting issue, like literally four years ago I cut off all my hair into a faux hawk which I loved but I missed my long hair, and basically same story (it NEEDED cut) but here I am four years later with my locks down to my bra strap after taking really good care of it (semi regular trims, little heat, etc etc you know the usual suspects) any how, the point is, hair grows on average 6 inches a year, and that’s a lot so hang in their ladies! It will be back before you know it! And have fun with it in the mean time, there is a cute little doo you can flirt with that works perfectly with whatever you’re rocking now!

Thanks! I am super excited for you! I don’t have a studio and I am dying to get my pole back up, but good things come to those who wait! I am really glad I have my own though since I will be nursing as well! Yeah, babies take a bit of or bodies, but we are built for that! Again, its awesome that your getting back into your thing, its easy to set ourselves aside when babies come! Happy poling!

I am going to have a baby any day now! Literally! I am so looking forward to getting back into pole and have been contemplating how to go about setting up my goals lately. I know a lot of my upper strength is gone as well a well as my core strength, and well flexibility lol. It’s all good though, I know in time with proper training it will come back! Anyhow, I will be following your progress and cheering you on! Congrats on little one!

So I went and read the article that went along worth the story. It mad me sad and mad. Obviously, stripping has it’s down points, so does every job. In some places women are not hired for the have yard shifts because it is not believed to be safe enough for them. It also makes me angry because there is such a slant on this. Yes the money comes fast, I don’t know about easy though. I was a dancer for a while and I definitely did not feel trapped. I loved it and world do it again. However, that being said, I and those that I modeled after, treated it just like any other job, not a big party. There were huge safety precautions I took along with the staff at the clubs I worked at (what else am I tipping bouncers for??) And then die the money but it’s called being responsible. Yeah it’s ok to have nice things, but if you’re not saving and investing properly, just like any job when you’re ready to move on and cannot possibly risk a pay cut, make sure you have the money to support yourself while you look for other employment you have also seen to that you are qualified and skilled for. I feel deeply for the women who have gone missing, it if horrible to say the least and I hope they are recovered safely. But thanks again media for keeping the misconceptions alive!

I was diagnosed with PCOS several years ago, I understand you’re desire to live life despite the obstacles it presents. At first I was angry at some of the adjustments in my lifestyle I would have to make, but in time I came to see them as opportunities rather than obstacles, and now I have come to adopt that ideal in all aspects of life… There are no obstacles only opportunities to see and do things differently!
The future holds many opportunities, may they all lead you to success, even if the path is a little unexpected! 🙂

I can’t stand the claw, drove me nuts! Until one day I found a pair of sky high heels that didn’t come in my size but I had to have them any way, so I bought them. I usually wear a 7 in heels, 6 in regular, but these were an 8! They had the clear part that went over the foot and I did the warm up with a hair dryer thing to shape them and bam! No claw! Now I buy all my heels that bigger size, mold to foot and call it good, no claw! Comfy, I can dance for hours, and the slight extra length isn’t really notable! So, try a bigger size instead of smaller, it might work out better! With smaller open toe sires, your toes really have no where to go but over the edge….

OP:: you should have no problem finding a store that Carries them, especially where you are, just look in the strip malls with heavy Asian presence, or ask a sista… She will know where to get the weave! Lol. I buy the highest quality hair I can afford in wefts and make my own, or I did when I had short hair but I have finally grown it out to not need them.

and not all students butcher hair 😉 I still had clients that were my first cuts!
