I started my interest January 2006, and was keen to start teaching pole myself. Unfortunately certain parts of my family were strongly against my involvement, and I only managed to attend 2 open classes (with KT Coates in Fitness First Chelmsford), a one day course with Michele Elizabeth of "Wiggle and Giggle with ME" in July 2006 as she was offering the only REP’s recognized course at that time, and 2 pole-jams that I managed to sneak off to. Since September 2010 I managed to do some classes with Little Sapphires in Colchester, Sudbury and Ipswich. Situation changed as of 4 Jan 2011, and my wife Carole now tolerates my interest and has become actually supportive. Passed Pole People L1 April 2011 and just undertaken my L2. Done a couple of workshops. About 2 classes a week over half a year, and about 6 121's. Since March been taking a pole course with Pink Ladies in Colchester. Have entered 2 of the Pole Factor competitions, and a charity event with Pink Ladies (where I won the main "Free pole course" prize).
