Congrats!!! I just got the Superman for the first time this past Monday. I, too, have a super scary bruise on my inner thigh. LOL. Oh well, at least it's winter over here so no one will see it. 🙂

Hahaha!!! I love it!

Thanks so much, girls!! I don't know why seeing a doctor hasn't even crossed my mind until now. I think I'm going to do that. I'll let you know what he/she says! 🙂

Ok. So I wore my Lucia shorts last night to class and absolutely LOVED them! I couldn't stop looking at myself in the mirror. I don't have a whole lot of curves, but these were very flattering. The drawstring is the best part and they're so comfy! I will definitely be buying more Mika shorts!!

I just got them in the mail last night! The fabric was a little different than I expected, but I really do like the drawstrings on the sides (I like my shorts a little cheeky). The Ella top looks nice too, but I'm still a little bit self-conscious about showing so much mid-section (unless I have to for a move). Oh well, it will give me something to work towards. LOL 🙂
I'll take them on a trial run in class tonight and let you know how they turned out! 🙂

@Kat Pole Princes – Wow!!! That guy is awesome! How in the heck did he figure that out?! I'm gonna have to try that out for myself.

Congrats on your first pole!!
As far as ceiling height goes, I don't think it would be a problem. Of course, 20-ft-tall ceilings would be ideal, but there are still lots of things you can do with a shorter ceiling.
I'm 5'10" and one of the studios I used to go to had 8' ceilings. If I got on my tippy toes, I could touch the ceiling! I was still able to do a lot of tricks and spins (including inversions). The only thing I couldn't really do is climb, which was disapointing. But you have to make do with what you have!

@CaseyT – OMG! They look great on you! I think those are the same kind I got (but in a different color). I can't wait to get them! 🙂

You mentioned that your profile is mainly pole-related. I say, if your friend is offended by the content, than she can always unfriend you or hide your updates. It's YOUR page, post what you want! 🙂 You've acoomplished a lot and you want to show it off! Nothing wrong with that!

Don't let his comments bother you (or at the very least don't let him KNOW that his comments bothered you). He seems like he was trying to get a rise out of you. Don't give him the satisfaction of seeing you upset. Some people are gonna be jerks no matter what you do.
Don't focus on that one jerk who said all that negative stuff. Focus on all the positive, encouraging people who showed up. And from what you explained, it seems like the response was overwhelmingly postive!! 🙂

Here's the ones I was looking at. I'm assuming it's what you were looking for: http://badkittypolewear.com/brazil-pole-dancing-shorts-p-45.html

I just looked on the Bad Kitty Website. I see where it says it's only available in those sizes, but it still let me select "Small" from the drop-down menu and add them to my cart (black). Try again and see if it will let you! 🙂

I don't mind the change. I'm actually kind of interested to figure out what all the new Facebook can do!
Facebook is constantly changing, so I've learned to expect it. They kind of have to change from time to time in order to stay relevant, especially with Google+ being released. Otherwise they might become the next Myspace! LOL

Wow! Thank you guys for the awesome and encouraging feedback! It's nice to hear from women my age (or even older) who have acheived such awesome flexibility. Also, I've gone through quite a few of you're photos and am so impressed with what can be acheived in your 30's and beyond!
I realized that I need to incorporate more stretching into my regular routine. I'll shoot for every other day to start, but I'll pay close attention to what my body can handle and adjust the frequency accordingly.

You're completely normal. 🙂 Maybe get the harder strength moves out of the way first and then do the easier stuff at the end of practice. Or break the 2hr session into two 1hr sessions.
