And there's no cliques here either, everyone is welcome and equally encouraged to do their best and progress at the rate that's good for them. Some progress faster and are moved up accordingly so no one feels left behind or bored. I've kinda been a lone poler up here for so long that I'm just happy to find other locals lol!

Yayyy more Veeners around! ๐ @Elysabeth I would check out schedules at places that you were thinking of attending and see what works for you, and what style of pole you were looking for. I do most of my classes from a dance/ballet perspective (except the sexy ones hehe) and am training to be a aerial fabric instructor because we have those too! Your welcome at our studio any time here's the schedule!

haha it's ok ๐ I teach in Bellingham right over the Woonsockett line in MA, and have studio access whenever. I've been poling for like 7 years and am always looking for new pole buddies to practice with!

I’m a 34 D/DD depending on bra brand, and ill agree with you that “the girls” get in the way sometimes! I grew up in ballet and gymnastics where having a chest is unacceptable, and when I stopped training after high school they just grew out of nowhere! All was great until I discovered pole and got back to dance. Now I have to wear bras under pretty backless leotards (which causes another issue…back rolls!) And none of the cute pole tops tend to fit me (and I go through a roll of double sided tape every performance). Honestly, even though I’m not as secure with my body image as i use to be, you gotta work with what you got! Maybe decorate or bedazzel some of those plainer tops! Or find someone who sews and have some made ๐ embrace your body, the more you do . The better you will feel ๐

My process is similar, pick song, edit song if needed, pick theme, story or emotions to reflect song….then my best ideas come right as I’m falling asleep, or driving! I listen to my songs a lot while driving!

I kinda travel around the area a bit taking classes and workshops at all different studios. Theres lots of great places in Boston that you could take some classes and workshops at and meet people from the aera. Super Shag is awesome and they tend to have a lot of guest instructors there (like Marlo!). Theres also Boston Pole Fitness, and DL Fitness in Worcester. Do you have a studio or a practice space set up? I know it's difficult to train alone sometimes I totally need a training buddy too ๐ I just looked at the map and it seems your not to to far from me. There are a few other people on here that are awesome from MA too, maybe we could have a big MA pole jam!

Or a unitard with some fun shorts or a shirt to mix up some colors. I usually bring a long sleeved shirt in case of moves that burn the arms. The fun thing about circus clothes are that youcan layer, mix and match….bah never mind…you dont even have to match! ๐ good luck!
