One of the best ways to draw people into a performance is to smile and make eye contact. This takes practice, because when we're concentrating on our moves we tend to forget about our face! Plastering on a fake, toothy smile isn't the goal. It's not about being "fake" it's about learning how to perform. How to take on the role you want everyone to see, it's not you, it's acting. Try sitting in front of a mirror and see if you can emote these feeling HAPPY ANGRY SAD FLIRTY. This is why dancing can be so therapeutic and fun, you can be whoever to express what you like.
