This is the one thing I still haven't been able to grasp consistently in class or at home. I always fall backwards? I've been experimenting with distance from the pole, where I'm standing forward/backward of the pole, lifting inside or outside leg, how high I'm grabbing the pole with my upper hand, etc. My instructor says I just need to work on pushing my hips forward to prevent the fall backwards, but that just isn't clicking for me. Any advice? Thanks! Note: in class, we've only ever lifted the inside leg so lifting the outside leg is very new to me but seems to have the same issue. I can't stand on one leg very well at all to begin with so maybe I should be working on that first?
If you’re able to take a video for me (use the Ask Veena button to share it with me) that would be very helpful in troubleshooting. Otherwise I’d just be giving you generic advice that you’ve probably already heard.
You're welcome

These revised videos are great! Thank you!
One question: If I do this without heels, I should turn on the balls of my feet, right? I somehow end up on my heel half the time...
Yes, without heels stay on the ball of the foot. ?
