Your smallest pole clearance radius?

I'll find out in a few days if its enough room or not, but I wanted to set up in my bedroom so I can have guests over and close the bedroom door and not take it down all the time ... 🙂 In here the smallest diameter at up to 2'3" high is 6'3" wide. It all goes wider than that higher up, (above my bed). On the other side its 9' up to 3'3", and wider higher up, which seems to be plenty wide. Otherwise I'll have to move my elliptical in my tiny bedroom, and take the pole down if most people come over...! thx lis ps. i just realized i'll get a 3-day weekend with my new pole!!! so i hope it goes well. gotta stretch and warm-up and watch my shoulders--thx veena 😉

People say ideally you should be able to walk round the pole both arms outstretched and not hit anything. Mine is nowhere near that, I've got room on one side and hardly any space on the opposite side. I find it restricting and have to do moves in certain orientations and certain spins are a no no - like the carousel, but I get on more or less ok. But I go to classes too so I get to play on a pole not as hampered as mine

Yes like Lola said..A full arms length while holding the pole is the best, I prefer even more space...I love to really extend my spins!! You can get by with less space, but you will need to be careful not to hit your feet an on anything while performing spins. Spins in static mode require the most space. Just be careful and understand your static spins might suffer a bit because of the smaller space. 🌸

My pole is in my bedroom and not much room. You can see it in my videos if you want to look... I kicked the wall in one of my vids (it's in the bloopers). The closest wall is like... um, if I stand with one hand on the pole, I can stretch out that inside arm and maybe reach part-way out to the other side. I don't dare get it any closer than that. I have the corner of my bed about the same distance away on the other side, but it's not nearly as invasive and I can usually kick my legs over it when spinning. I can't move it anywhere else because of the position of the joists... The pole goes up and down easily enough, just put it up somewhere and walk around it and see if you're comfortable with the space; you don't even have to tighten it all the way, just kinda leave it in one piece (careful of the dome!) and walk it around with you. When you find a place you like, make sure a joist is right there and tighten her up!

i will make a quick clip today when do a few others and try to post it. (have had a ton of problems trying to load vid) if that doesnt work i will take a pic. 1 of my poles is in my very very tiny bedroom with barely a foot of radius around pole (wall/bed). i have managed plenty w that small space (reverse grab wich jay thought was impossible, hook spins, craddle, of course climbs, butterfly, crucifix, jade, ect) so even though it is better to have lots of space around (for saftey reasons) it is possible to learn alot even w limited space.
