What is it and how did you come up with it? I know al of our SN are not all of our pole names. I've picked Evey Noir for more classic routines and Evey Black when I want to get grimey lol 😂

Haha my pole name has been quite the saga and I'm sure there are several people rolling their eyes when they see that I'm posting to this thread (and I don't blame them). 😂 Names carry a lot of significance for me so I take it a lot more seriously than I should (yes, I admit it). When I first joined this forum, you could change your username. I just did the first four letters of my real name because I didn't really think about it too much. Then I finally picked a "stage name" (or pole name or whatever) after posting a thread asking for input on what it should be. After all that I came up with Foxy Rei - so yes, if you dig up some older threads with posts by that name, it's me. Several people thought I looked like a "Foxy" when they looked at my pictures and I'm a fan of Japanese Anime and liked the name Rei ("Ray") so I stuck the two together. So I changed my username to Foxy Rei with my old first-four-letters-of-my-first-name together so people would know I was the same person. Then they changed the site so the usernames had to stay the same, and this was the same day that I had planned to go with just Foxy Rei. But Veena was able to change it for me before the changes were made permanent. Last year, I took an unintentional pole sabbatical and was off the pole for several months. I went through a hard time emotionally and financially and just never poled. When I finally got back into it, I felt different in a lot of ways. I had started pole dancing for the sexy side of things, hence the "foxy" name, but over time it turned into something different for me. Plus I'm Christian and was struggling with how pole dancing fit in with my faith (I knew they could coexist somehow but couldn't quite articulate it). I finally got everything to click into place and somehow my old name just didn't seem to fit. (I also wanted to start a pole dancing blog and kinda wanted a fresh start.) It didn't feel right. I went back over my old list that I had narrowed down to in my original search for a pole name and Journey jumped out at me. The word entails change, growth, pursuit, moving forward - which is exactly what I have done in pole dancing and what we do in life. I loved it! 😀 So I made a new username here and started my blog, PoleSpection, using the name Journey. Some people weren't too happy about the change and a few people still call me Foxy - which is fine, I'll answer to it 🙂 it's still a good name! - but the change is something that I did for me. There you go. 🙂
My pole name is Aerial, after the Kate Bush album. I picked it because I love the idea that poling is like flying--and I dream of one day being able to perform flawlessly to the song "Aerial." ☀️ Dreamz. I haz them.
Lulu - its gotta a funny story to it. As a kid I HATED being called Lulu. I guess all those years of my mom correcting everyone saying thats not my name takes a toll. My real name is LuAyne (Lu-anne, the Y throws everyone off!) and since no one spells or pronounces it correctly - ive gotten faxes after telling them how to spell my name as Lee Ann and I get Lillian for some reason, its just much easier to go by Lulu. When I competed in my first competition, my friend decided she wanted to make shirts to show support. So we had a Team Lulu cheering section. Once I posted to YT, I decided to stick with Lulu as a performing name. If your friends with me on FB, you will see that some folks call me Lu. Thats actually what most of my co workers call me and alot of my close and personal friends. Personally, I dont care what you call me - whatevers comfortable with you!
my hubby dubbed mine.......according to him i am "mean as a snake" (don't believe him though 😉 i'm not mean at all) Strawberry Short Snake sooo, i made that my username (I just lurked under the other one anyway!!) he also likes to refer to me as a sour patch kid......at first they are sour, then they are sweet. 😂
One night my friends and I went into a dive bar that had Karaoke. We were requesting songs and everyone was using diff. drink names on the request cards...it came to me and I picked Fuzzy Navel. I haven't had a Fuzzy Navel since my 21st birthday, BUT it makes me smile. 😉
I was given my pole name and believe that it suits me pretty well. Smooth Operator it is. I got it after doing a freestyle/show off at the end of my first pole series. The owner of the company walked in and was in awe of how I flowed on the pole. So she stated that was so smooth, and thus Smooth Operator was born.
