Your best/favorite pole accomplishments in 2011

so many! I love all my accomplisments big and small. Some of you may not believe, but my dream move was to invert..! that says a lot about were I was both physically and emotionally, everything else since then is a bonus :) The things that I'm most pround of are that i got the courage to come out with my head high to everyone about this passion and face the good and the bad that came along the way, and of course my latest achievment, becoming an instructor! my life did a total 180º turn this year thanks to pole, cant wait to find out what 2012 will bring :)
All of my pole accomplishments happenned in 2011! SO thankful I took up poling, has made a huge difference to myself. Im gonna try to make a list, hang it up, then record all Ive learned today to clse out the year!
I started poling in 2011 so everything has been an accomplishment! I guess I could point to all the tricks I have worked hard on so far...but I think my real turning point that bumped up my learning curve and confidence like WHOA was when I took a workshop with David Owen and he got me smoothly & instinctively into my leg hangs and aerial switches just by how he walked/talked me through them. Thank you!

For me, I think performing for my first audience was huge. It was a small, supportive audience, but live bodies nonetheless! Also hip holds and inverted V, along with some others were happiness inducing. In 2012 I'm getting my pole teaching certification, so I think this year will be even better than the last! Im definetely proud of being upside down on a pole. Took me a while to learn but its great!! Now I can really start learning all the fun and cool moves!!

Competing in Battle of the pole in Sweden traveling alone. Even if I did really bad it was a great learning experience. Getting the front splits I think was my biggest achievement that I worked the hardest for :) Then more recently getting the middle splits :D I got the true grip Iron X I worked on fluidity and my personal style Seeing my students grow so much in my classes since this summer, I'm so proud for them! Planning a christmas show at the studio, performing solo and make a group routine with some of my students. Everyone learned so much, got to know each other better and had so much fun doing it. :)

Great thread!❤️ Mine would be the True grip X, Adv Ballerina, and I made some great progress with my handstands and back mobility!
O man 2011! What an awesome pole year....Some of my favorite accomplishments were... Performing at Pole For a Purpose, Going from pole instructor > Studio Owner, Competing in USPDF....Watching the ladies I taught become amazing dancers and more confident people. Most importantly making the decision to do what feels right and make pole my career

Commiting to pole was my favorite pole accomplishment for 2011! I have invested in a space to pole at home and that is an investment in me. Making something a priority that improves my health and also is a creative outlet is a huge milestone for me. I am very proud of that accomplishment, making the space and time to do something I love.

I think developing more strength has become my biggest sucess. With that I have been able to conquer some of the moves on my goal list (one being the chopper hold). I've also worked on my side climb... Definitenly not a favorite of mine, but a necessary for so much! I'm also pretty proud of my CAR! Happy poling, everyone!!
