Yoga DVD's

I am DYING to get these stupid splits down, I could careless for the center splits. 😉 hehe but wouldn't mind having them. I suck at strecthing ong my own and I love yoga. So I read a thread and she suggested yoga, I LOVE yoga. So 😮 I am now looking into purchasing a yoga dvd. I can't go out to class cause we lost our babysitter and the boyfriend works nights. What are some good ones? Which are shorter? Maybe a variety of ones on a CD? Not really sure where to begin. Thanks xoxo JorShi

My favorite right now is Shiva Rea's Fluid Power Vinyasa Yoga. It's for advanced beginners to intermediate. I've had my copy for a year, and I'm always finding something new and challenge out of it. There's about three hours of instruction, so you have a low chance of repeating the same sequences each go. Plus, you can customize your workout to your liking. It runs for about $14. However, if you're looking to save money, I highly suggest subscribing to the Inside Yoga Today podcast. There are video podcasts for anything from hip opening lunges (great for learning splits), basic sun salutations to workplace yoga and confidence-boosting sequences. You can find the podcast for FREE on iTunes or find its YouTube channel at http://www.youtube.com/user/yogatoday. The Yoga Today website has full-length episodes available for purchase, but I find that the YouTube and podcast videos are enough. There are different levels, mostly in the beginner to intermediate. As for instructors, Neesha's episodes are more beginner and earthy. Adi is more athletic, so that may be what you're looking for. And Sarah is more into the Kundalini and chakras. I hope this helps.

Podcasts are a great idea. I actually subscribe to several different ones, including yoga. There's handstand help and then some awesome pilates podcasts too for strengthening those abs! And it's free...can't get better than that 😀

Yogatoday is great, Shiva Rea also, Seane Corn, beautiful. I also have one DVD from Dashama.
