Can you switch out poles on the new X stage lite (US) version? In thinking of getting a new pole but really like the option to use different finishes, especially intrigued by the silicone finish. Pole hasn't really taken off here in kc, but with 4 different aerial schools it should! I really think more of a Chinese pole would transition better to my fellow aerialists...

Yep! Poles and diameters. A girl here in Raleigh has all 3 sizes for her stage.
Thanks! That definitely helps justify the price. It'd be nice if all the poles were interchangeable with the bases, whether that's a dome or stage.
X-Pole try to make products as interchangeable as possible. However, we cannot compromise on safety and strength. A large force is applied to a stage pole, especially at the bearing and so a the X-Stage A Poles (the bottom pole with the bearing unit) is dual lined for additional strength and rigidity In addition the stage pole locates into 2x large bottom bearings to do this requires a special insert in the pole tube which cannot then be used as a standard pole. IN turn a standard pole is not dual lined as so lacks the strength for use on a stage. One upgrade that X-Stage owners may not know is that a 2.3m (90.5”) single piece, dual lined Competition A pole can be used on an X-Stage making the pole even more ridged and raising the X-Joint position to 2.3m. X-Pole has a special adapter (it is a stock item) to allow the competition poles to fit Stages. If a competition pole is used, together with a 750mm extension the overall height is 3050mm (10') . Thanks for taking the time to reply to my comments! I have a 45mm brass xpert, and I wouldn't expect the current design to work with a stage. I haven't worked much with stages so I haven't really taken a look at the pole differences, tbh. I'm just thinking in an ideal world. A stage is appealing to me, but I like the idea of having multiple finishes available. So in my ideal world, I'd love to have a stage with a silicone, chrome, and brass pole. And I'd also love having those available for my standard pole set up in my 8 ft ceiling room without having to buy 6 different poles. I'm a water engineer by day, but I do understand the difference in physics for the stage. There's a significant amount of torque applied to the base of the stage pole, so I can see how it would need to be much stronger. If the joints are the same for both set-ups, and just the bottom pole is more rigid, wouldn't an insert be possible? I'm thinking about the way large diameter steel pipe is transported. They use braces to add rigidity. Since the xpole tubes are hollow, I'd think an insert could be available to beef up the bottom (and top) poles. Or the base pole for the standard pole could be slightly over-designed. Something I'd pay extra for if I knew I could use my poles for each application. Anyway, just thinking out loud.
