Xpole on carpet?

I'm thinking about finally dropping the cash on an Xpole instead of using my broke college student homemade pole (not that it hasn't served me well, but I think it may be time for an upgrade...) but I would want to put it in my bedroom that has carpeted floors and I'm wondering how stable it would be. I've seen a lot of people with videos dancing in carpeted rooms but I feel like it would be more stable if it was on a hard floor, and I'm pretty sure putting it in the living room right when you walk into my house might be a bad conversation piece. 😜 Does anyone have their Xpole on carpeted floors? If you've moved it from a carpeted surface to a non-carpeted like hard wood floor, does it make a difference in the performace of it or is it just as stable? I just want to know as much info as possible before I drop five paychecks on this thing 🙂
