Hi, I am trying to dismantle my xpole and the hex screws are stuck in a couple of places so I can't undo the xjoint, . One is very tight and can't be undone, another the hex screw seems to be threaded so the Allen key cant lock on and turn the screw. Can anyone help with advice? Thanks

If your allen key can actually get into the hole all the way into the hex screw are you certain you are turning the correct direction? What your describing is that one is stripped and the other won't turn so first consider if you are by chance turning it the wrong way? If not then the way to get stuck joints out is to insert a broomstick inside the other end of the pole, turn it over and pound the joint out by pounding into the ground. Personally I recommend using metal conduit instead of a wooden broom handle.
By the way...this method can ruin your XJoints and you may need to replace them but sometimes it's the only way to get them out of the tube.
You will need to replace your X Joints (they run about $20). If the hex is stripped (as it sounds as it is) there is no way to replace that as it is attached inside the spreader. If it's just the screws that are stuck and the joint isn't twisted, put something over the end of the allen key to make it longer. I have that problem and called Xpole, they said to put another xjoint over the handle of the allen key. It gives you a better grip and more torque so you can unscrew it easier.
One is stripped and one is too tight for me to release , I will try what's recommended. I was thinking of getting an xstage but am starting to question if stuck x joints are common as it would make putting the stage up and down difficult
If the X Joints are tightened correctly and checked regularly you should not have a problem with them. How many of us loosen and retighten them regularly? How many of us even check our poles regularly? I have set up and torn down numerouis X Stages and never had an issue with the joints (when I set them up). I did have issues when other people set them up though. Read the instructions. Check them regularly.
